oh my what a day!

Happy April Fool’s Day! And my, what a day!!

Getting tricked by friends are still small cases. The thing is, we’re facing more MAJOR problems here…

Firstly, we got scolded for no reason this morning by a lecturer, who just came into class and snapped at us few sitting at the back after we greeted her cheerily! We’re like, “Huh~~~?!” I believe we’re still settling down and some of us were still talking because she hadn’t started speaking yet. Normally the minute she opened her mouth all of us would shut up. So all the enthusiasm for the class went down the drain lah

For the last 20 minutes or so we discussed the brunch we wanted to organise for next Thursday since it’s the last week. I don’t know, but I think I have learnt my ‘lesson’ from the APK Days that due to religious causes, it is not appropriate for Chinese to prepare foods for the Muslims. So naturally I’d become more sensitive when it comes to this issue. Everything that I thought of doing voluntarily didn’t seem right, for example, if I say I’ll prepare fruits, would our Muslim friends feel that our knives are not ‘halal’? If I want to cook mushroom soup, that’s even more out of the question…

As a result, our lack of responses became another issue of lacking enthusiasm for the brunch party. I was like, “….???” What do you want me to do?? Seriously incomprehensible!!

Please don’t get me wrong here. I’m not criticising the Muslims for being careful in terms of food preparation. When there’s a sensitive issue that concerns religions, it’s correct that we as non-Muslims should tolerate and respect. I just don’t feel right when what I thought to be respectful would be accused as lack of enthusiasm.

And to get on the case of a lecturer during the final weeks! So pandai

Secondly, it’s the problem of our house. Earlier it was scorched by fire; now it’s drenched by water! These few days it rained a lot, thank God the weather became more cooling; and thank God even coz the wall which separated our house and the culprit kebakaran house became so wet that water literally seeped through and trickled down the wall!

See the trails of the water..?

And when there’s moisture in the wall for too long, the paint became brown.

DSC02614

And now the wet and creased surface is an eyesore…

DSC02613

Initially it was just the staircase, now it spread to my room and the kitchen dy…

And speaking of the kitchen… oh my it’s a nose-sore! I don’t know why but there’s water seeping out of the floor and the whole kitchen’s like damn damp and smells like fungus!!! Ewwww~~~~~~~~ And when you had to go in and come out your feet’ll be like wet and slippery. Talk about yuckiness!

I don know how long it’d take for the owner to fix this. But sigh… for the time being we’ll just have to endure the whole thing…

Another option would be: move house?? Sooooo unthinkable…

Thirdly, there’s an assignment that I have to redo when i thought I was just 20% away from completing it!!!

Nvm. Jong has a motivation for me tomorrow: McDonald’s breakfast!!
