the Passover week

Happy Good Friday & Easter! ^^

Alright now it’s 2am sharp and I have classes tomorrow (but it’s the last week!!) so I’m gonna TRY to finish this post in an hour…

The Passover week just passed! And we had a 7-day evangelistic meetings in the church which just ended today. I really want to praise God for His M&M (Mighty Miraculous) Hands! Hallelujah~!!

On the first day we had the Passover Dinner in church.

The sanctuary was transformed into a large dining hall, and it was so packed that we had 0 distance with the people sitting right next to us…!

We arrived a little early just in time to help arrange the dishes…

Ooh… in case you’re wondering what Passover is, it’s actually a Jewish celebration which commemorates redemption or salvation from God. A bit of history here: the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians for 400 years. Because the Pharoah was too stubborn to let the Israelites leave, God caused 10 plagues to hit them, the last one being killing of the firstborns. So God commanded Moses to tell the Israelites to kill a lamb and wipe its blood on the door frames, and to eat the roasted lamb along with bitter herbs and unleavened bread. There’re symbolical meanings to each of the food partaken but I’ll not elaborate here… Anyway, the main purpose was that so that the angel of death would ‘pass-over’ the homes of the Israelites because of the blood on the doorframes so that their firstborns would not be killed. And so you could guess la… the Egyptians did not do that and so their firstborns were all killed, and that was what changed the Pharaoh’s mind to let the people go.

So everyone gets a set of this…

The roast lamb was served separately… and there were other filling food as well like savoury rice with raisins, cold potato salad and fruit salad… I’m hungry dy hmmph~~

And if you cant stand eating green bitter gourds, you add thick slabs of mayo!! Hahaha…

And my phone batt went kong after this. TT The rest of the pictures are with Lulu.

Zooming to the weekend…

On Fri & Sat the church drama team came out with an awesome Jesus & the Cross stage performance…! Although the whole thing wasn’t as real as Passion of the Christ (coz they couldn’t do the real blood thingy), but it was such a good reflection for what Christ has done for us on the cross.

The crucifixion.

And there was bountiful harvest of souls! Again, God is good all the time! He showers you with gifts of love and faith when you least expect them!

To me, it’s BeeGuat joining the big family! I’m sure all the angels were cheering and celebrating!

Welcome and a big, big hug for you, sis! Don’t worry about anything k… you’ll love this second home! :D

DSC02625

Group picha that cannot be missed!

The rest (with my fat face) I’ll post in FB la…

After that we went to SS2 for supper… so you’ve guessed it, it’s food pichas ‘gain!

pageBought a humongous watermelon slice from an auntie who spoke fluent English! RM1 o-kay! Compared to Section 14 one… Mou tak bei ar (tak bley banding ar)!

After gobbling at Wai Sek Kai, we decided it was not too late for us to nibble at Gei Tak Sek (which literally means remember to eat in cantonese)…

DSC02635Same row as the ‘Brother Dessert’ we went last time. But they served also heavier meals here besides tong-sui’s.

DSC02640

We ordered a Mango-Loh coz a lot of other tables were having this… Looked like alien’s dish or not? (Martian brain bake… eww!) It’s actually mango cubes and ice with a layer of mango-flavored sago outside. RM6.

DSC02641Water chestnuts with corn soup. Ah, a big disappointment! If you like those canned jagung you might like this. RM2.60.

DSC02643This fried yam… Oh my, we gaped at the size and the number of them when it was served. Highly NOT recommended. RM4.30.

Oh it’s 2.59! I must tinggalkan pesanan terakhir saya dy…

Overall I still prefer the ‘Brother Dessert’ or Dessert Brother la… Well, it’s a personal taste kind of thing. But this shop is seriously packed to the max. Don’t know why… good marketing strategy kot.

I’ve got another food post coming up. But there’re tons of assignments. Tomorrow, actually it’s a few more hours later, one due. Then tomorrow, another THICK one due with a presentation. Wednesday, another presentation. Thursday, the very final one due!

Oh God, I need Your grace and mercy and wisdom and everything!

I need the study week, but exams, no thanks! :pppp
