my pie shop

Oooh by the way, let me pen down my inspiration during Math class last week!

Mr Zawawi taught us the history of p... You know? Like pi = 3.14159265.. Then I guess I was too hungry cuz I started dreaming bout pies.. Steaming hot pies.. with a wide variety! Wouldn't it be awesome if I could own a pie shop in the future? I'll name it..

The Ppe Shop!

or

The Ppe Shop?!

I must get someone art-sy to design the shop sign for me..

And the menu would mainly consist of PIES, of course!

Googled for some pictures and there're oh-so-yummilicious!

Love this one especially..!

just nice for the upcoming Valentine's Day..!

And they must come in all flavours.. apple pies.. mincemeat pies.. custard pies.. strawberry pies... banana pies.. pumpkin pies.. egg pies.. chicken pies... lamb pies.. and maybe even pork pies?! Or better make the shop halal I think.. hahahaha~

And since it's a p shop.. everything inside must have the concept of a circle.. like urm.. round tables and chairs.. I have a good mind to have those tree-stumps-like chairs..

nice?

Then try to get all round utensils.. hahaha..

and oh yeah.. we serve other round food as well.. waffles.. ice-creams.. tarts.. cakes... cupcakes.. fishballs.. meatballs.. and heavier meals like chicken rice balls maybe.. and all kinds of drinks, of course.. they are all very affordable.. I mean, they will be.. haha~

Till I know how to bake, this shall remain a dream..

Sigh... anyone wants to be my sifu?

of spiritual and worldly stuff

Don't know how should I write this.. There're so many things accumulated for so long and now they're all jumbled up in my mind.. I guess I'll just blah whatever that comes across my mind..

Joined the church street evangelism last Saturday.. great experience, I'd say.. though I didn't get to share the gospel with anyone.. they arranged so that the inexperienced ones paired up with those experts.. so I got to learn from 月华姐.. She's real cool! She just boldly went up to whoever the Holy Spirit led her to and started a conversation.. I feel like I still have a long way to go.. Anyway, it was really not as scary as we have always imagined..

Then last Friday (rewind a bit) we went splashing at Bukit Bintang.. allowance just came in that morning.. initially when they planned I wasn't really in the mood.. It's just not fun to shop while having to watch your budget (not that I didn't mind my limit if there's $$ la..) like real carefully.. but then that morning Doreen got the news from somebody and she just went like banging on our doors and spreading the 'gospel'.. hahaha.. at 7 sth in the morning..! Everyone's so deprived of allowance that insanity seemed too common.. We went like 'Oh wow! Really?!' then fell back on the bed and snored......................

Thank God the shopping trip wasn't a waste coz the harvest was bountiful.. haha.. and we continued on at MidVal at 8 sth pm.. (Moral of the story [for BPG]: don't bank in the $$ too late next time or we'll all suffer from uncontrollable impulsive shopping!) Got myself 'plunder' in abundance..! Missed a white tote bag and more leggings.. A must to go back!

Let me 'show off' my most satisfying item..

Call me stingy or a cheapskate but this is the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever got for myself..!(I berjimat-cermat ok!) Although it may be too common or a little out of trend or whatever now.. I still love it!! Yeay yeay~ Have been eyeing for Gladiators for a while dy..! But like a bit too high for me.. sigh.. not used to wearing high heels or platform shoes..

Went to Kim Gary for dinner and savour the un-missable French toast and iced yinyong!

for RM 4 or 5.. this is definitely worth your money.. I couldn't find a better French toast anywhere, honestly!

We'll always order set meals that come with the borsch soup and iced yin-yong! Voted the best among all HongKong restaurants.. (by us! :D)

How is it possible to snap only Choo and Caryn's face? The rest must have one too!

Group pic then.. easier! Very lousy quality though.. Wrong setting.. Oops.. haha

We're planning to go again this weekend..! :PPP Squander $$ like that = sinful pleasure.. hahaha...

vina's birthday!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Vina,
Happy birthday to YOU!

Happy 24th birthday again, Kak Vina! Don't worry bout the age.. a year older, a year wiser!

Got a chocolate buttercream cake for Vina's birthday this year.. I think the older we get, the more we crave for childhood stuff.. like buttercream cakes.. hahaha.. now most cakes are fresh cream.. but a 'sinful' indulgence sometimes is still OK I guess.. (I'm talking bout fooodd ya! Not other kinds of indulgence!!)

Yummy! I think there's some left in the fridge still.. must go and check it out later~!

This year Vina was in the park when the clock struck 12! Oh yea, I promised her to write this post in Malay again! Another challenge..!

Sempat menangkap gambar Vina meniup lilin! (Yeah.. not bad~~ I like! :P)

lepas tu memotong kek di dalam rumah.. sebab di taman gelap-gelita.. tambahan pula, ada banyak nyamuk yang kacau-kacau mencari darah.. (it rhymes!)

semua orang makan kek buat pertama kali dalam tahun ini!! bukan kek biasa tau.. kek harijadi!
Doreen sempat pose untuk last bite..
Jong jadi piggy sikit..
BeeGuat yang tamak ambil dua lapis kek..
Caryn nampak macam Michael Jackson kan..
Birthday girl membaham keknya..
Lastly Choo yang comel sekali... XD

Vina, may God's love, blessings, peace and joy be unto you!

2nd burial in 3 days

Buried QQ on Friday morning. There were only me, Louis, MaoMao the orange cat and her friend black cat.

Louis dug another hole near Momo's grave.. and got more skillful with using the chopper.

Covered it with two stones in case MaoMao decided to find out what we were doing..

Then decided to cheer ourselves up by having McDonald's for lunch.. despite the cruel fact that we might have to live by faith for the next few weeks. It worked a bit.. :] and oh by the way, it's our 1st McDonald's meal of the year.. some memorable meal...

Rest in peace, QQ.
We will miss you.

the confession of a murderer

I don't know how I should pen this down, but this is the worst day of my life. Cut the conflicts earlier, they're so nothing compared to this.

I never knew I had the ability to kill. And yet I did. Came back from dinner with Jong & Caryn and sat at the porch talking.. Louis took out QQ for me after a while. And God, he was still actively scurrying up and down in his cage. Fearful that he might bite, we got Louis to catch him out and place in my palm.. He was still alive, sniffing around. Then he bit me. Then out of playfulness I tossed him up in the air and caught him.. once, twice, ... and missed..................................................

He just lied there not moving. He would have. Usually he would have. I picked him up. He looked like he's in pain. I passed it to Louis. Do something! Louis felt his heartbeat. But he's not moving. His eyes were closed. Louis rubbed his chest. He trembled violently. Louis brought him into the house.

A while later, his heart was no longer beating. He's not moving. His eyes were open.

I killed my own hamster. How could I have done it?? He was alive and active and fat. I thought the orange cat was his biggest threat, but never did I realise I was his biggest enemy.

the aftermaths of assumptions

Sigh.. Don't know what's wrong today.. Got into conflicts after conflicts.. :(

Thought I angered a friend on FB last night. Was asking bout his past and assumed that people wouldn't mind.. Chatting halfway and he suddenly went offline. I was like, "Oh no... What did I do???" Went to sleep and tried to shut things out of my mind.. But this morning the minute I opened my eyes the reality snapped right through. Went to class with question marks at the back of my head..

During the first class dy I seemed to be caught in another one. Didn't know how to solve this either.. wasn't an on-the-spot mistake and things couldn't be undone.. I had assumed that a once-mentioned answer was the final decision.. but the more I explained, the more it didn't sound right.. so I shut up and felt another weight went 'kongggg' down on me..

After break a phone call came and got the news that some housemates were mad coz we ter-locked the gate, assuming that no one's going home halfway... and so caused inconvenience to others and even a little accident..

The moral of the story is..? Don't assume things are the way they seem to be..

I wonder what God is trying to tell me.. last Monday that and today thESE.. I'm getting the people phobia soon.. sigh.. God, please remind me next time when I start assuming the ways things are again.. but it's so hard.. sometimes I tend to apply my common sense or previous knowledge more..

But thank God there's 1 piece of good news to start with now.. the first conflict has been cleared.. my friend went offline coz of connection problem.. and that he didn't mind.. or so he says.. but I'll really love to believe that.. I guess things would change for the better.. one by one.. little by little..

there has been a death in the house next door

One of the hamsters died this morning.. The last time Louis saw it alive was 1am when it still crunched on the seeds. This morning he found it stiff in a weird position, accompanied by ants. T.T Actually it had been sick for quite some time dy.. with tumor on a foreleg.. and after the last Dec holiday it seemed to have shrunk half a size.. with a blind eye which kept emitting pus.. and least the misery ended today..

The gloomy evening when the weather was finally fine enough for us to bury Momo.

Momo's casket.

Louis wrapped it in the tissue paper. We wanted to see it for the last time but he said that the carcass smelt bad already.. so we decided to bury its body under the tree in the park opposite our house...

Caryn waiting for Louis to dig Momo's grave.. and turned out Louis had to use a butcher's knife because there was no better tool to use..

Last view.. bye bye hamster.. you've entertained us well..

Then used a broken piece of cement to cover it coz the grave was shallow.. in case the orange cat who ate the salamander came and kacau-kacau.. Hibiscus: courtesy of section 14 park.. :P

Rest in peace, Momo the hamster!
*no photos at the moment* =(
(April 2008 - January 2010)

On a happier note, there's a new adorable Jack Russell in the pet shop nearby. RM1388. Gosh!

This is my target when I start working next time.. They say if you want to train yourself to have children, get a dog first! Cuz it's long-term commitment..

Looking forward to owning a puppy! :)

the inevitable

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............................................

I'm not distressed or anything.. don't worry. It's a sigh of relief. I believe I am finally going to see the sun after the great storm!

Had some misunderstandings with my fellow coursemates yesterday.. Details? I guess everyone has their own side of stories.. So it's not fair to judge the whole thing by listening to just one party, so I won't narrate the whole thing here..

I never knew that I had the ability to raise such a great commotion in the Cohort.. and yet this time it was really like a wrong enthusiasm at a wrong time.. and most importantly I believe it was a miscommunication that leads us to such a disaster.

But I'd really like to apologise again to all who have involved. All who have felt hurt. All who have felt wronged. And all who have been angered.

Some things can't be undone, but I am sure they could be restored. If relationships are broken, let us mend them again. And I believe along the process, God teaches us to reflect on ourselves shows us our mistakes, and that's how He molds us to become more and more like Him.

May we grow as ONE. (I find it quite meaningful now.. hahahah)

bergotong-royong

Gosh, long time didnt use this word in essays dy! Let's try and see if I can write this post in malay spontaneously and test if it's rusty yet.. :D

XD

Muka BeeGuat nampak macam muncul di mana-mana foto sahaja... Rupa-rupanya dia tak buat kerja dan asyik nak ambil gambar sahaja.. hahahaha

"Ahh~ salamander!!!" (sebenarnya cicak man sahaja)

saya rasa ini juga pose pura-pura... XD

nampak tak difference halaman kami before and after? ^^

Yeay yeay!

Sekian sahaja report saya.. ^^

P/S: sorry for those who doesnt understand Malay.. give me a note and I'll translate for you~!

I miss Niny.. T_T

This evening Asmah asked me why I have not uploaded more pictures of Niny.. the problem is.. I'm out of stock! I must ask my sister to email me more of her photos!

Here's a video of her when everyone's watching tv on a Thursday night.. She was not very happy with the sitting position my sister's carrying her.. Her policy? Walk and shake: if you carry her she'll be most contented if you're walking around and not standing still (so that she can see different things around her) and shaking her up and down... ^^ enjoy~

happYning new year

Happy Blessed New Year 2010 to everyone~!

Countdown at church last night during our overnight prayer meeting. I must say it's a totally different and brand new experience to usher in the new year in the house of God! It felt real meaningful to pray and proclaim our resolutions and when the time comes, count seconds together with brothers and sisters! Initially we still planned to go to the city center and join the crowd, but I guess we could always do it next year a.k.a our last year in KL.. >.<>

Anyway our very first meal in 2010 was mamak food for supper! Got Lucas and my housemates BeeGuat & Vina to join us and we talked, talked, talked till 2 sth in the morning! And oh yeah, Audrey was back in our midst again! Yeay~ and oh yes, we saw Samuel after the prayer meeting in church! Felt really warm to meet up with Kuchies in a foreign land.. :D

Went back home and went online till the wee hours of the morning.. and when you have crazy housemates you just have to beware of the nutty suggestions they could come out with which could make excite everyone in no time! BeeGuat was going home the next day back to Malacca with Vina and she just suddenly persuaded Caryn to come along for a day trip.. and knowing cuckoo Caryn, she got all excited and persuaded us to go... and we let them talk us into this! By the time everyone agreed, we had less than 2 hours of sleep before departing!

BGuat's uncle arrived at our gate promptly at 6.30am and we scrambled into his MPV, still yawning and fishing.. and our 1st stop was Vina's house to visit the little ones! Amen is already an energetic mischievous 1 year old who learns things real fast (subjects of the day were PE: rolling water bottle and math: counting numbers.. hiak hiak); while lil' Adrien looks Korean! Adorable!!! Reminds me of Niny.. (*whining* oh my Niny~~~~~~) Too bad I didnt take their pictures.. Maybe Jong would upload them.. Spent the whole morning in Vina's house!

Noontime was the beginning of adventures and hunt.. BGuat's cousin was so kind to fetch us to Jonker's Street (i like~!) and we took concern in recording the journey of our first most spontaneous trip!

so there's no wonder why we 'click-click' (Amen's term for photo taking) in the car..

saw this real cute machine that makes waffles.. the batter drips from the pipes and there's a hand-like machine which covers the batter and let it bake.. the waffles were the shape of a fish! Didnt try though..

shopping for accessories is always a must-do in the list.. sempat 'click-click' lagi..

and what's a visit to Malacca without chicken rice balls?! It was public holiday (we forgot bout that) and the queues of most restaurants were oh-so-long! Took us 10 or 15 minutes to wait.. since everyone's bored, let's click-click again!

Audrey's first time in Malacca to savor the food~

And let's not forget the ever famous durian cendol! Comes in a cute, handy container with a cardboard handle.

And for dinner we got to taste BGuat's mom's cooking! Home-cooked food, I like~~!! Mrs Ng is eligible to open a restaurant! And I suggest Mama Corner at Section 14 which has been emptied out.. and use the same name, literally! :D

finally the long journey back in KKKL, Star and Putraline.. *exhausted but satisfied* And I'm proud to announce that I didnt spend more than RM60! Most $$ was on food.. unavoidable.. but I got myself some stuff which was worth the money too..!

pacman t-shirt and an adorable pouch! Yay~!

not forgetting cocktail for Louis since I dumped him at home.. :P

What a happening new year day! ^^
Happy New Year! May all our days be happYning this year!
