dec 3rd week sum-up!

My last Blogging Sunday in 2010!

Wow 5 more days to a brand new year! Time passes faster when we get older it seems. I... I... can't believe that I'll be tw... twenny f.. f.... four next year...!

Anyway, let's leave the shocking oh-my-it's-2011-dy moment for next Saturday then. I've got some more batches of pictures for sharing here. :)

First and foremost the Broga Youth Camp from 131210 to 161210. But many ppl have uploaded the Youth camp pictures on FB already (and they could tell a more detailed story than me) so I guess I'll just dump all the camp photos on FB. As for my own reflection, I thank God for the opportunity to join the camp, to lead a group of awesome and interesting members, to know Pastor Anton's amazing daughter--Amazing Grace personally, to indulge myself in all kinds of thrilling activities in 3 days, to experience teamwork and enjoy fellowship with all the other youths in every session, and to be edified by God's words through the sermons! It's truly a priceless experience that nothing could exchange with!

And I actually cried on the last day when they asked each group leader to say a word or two to their group members! == *malunye* Before that when I saw the group leaders shedding tears as they shared in the videos of the previous camps, I was wondering... why la... just a few days only right? Who knows in the end I myself TT pulak... Sigh.. Never judge too early!

After the camp I think we had a breakthrough in terms of attire. (So irrelevant!) Hahaha... coz the following Sunday Caryn and I both wore the skirts which we had left molding in our wardrobes for months!

Eh Caryn wore SKIRTS without leggings or jeans okay~!! *applause!!*

And I think we had another breakthrough in terms of lunch as well.. hahaha... instead of the usual MJ lah, Subway lah, Face to Face Pan Mee lah, Curry Mee lah, Loh Mee lah, Georgetown lah... we opted for Vietnam Kitchen! ^^

Nice ambience.. with the dim lights and curtains that sort of formed personal cubicles@diners...

Only 4 of us... :( Where are you, you and you know who you are?

Fresh Chestnut Juice that came in a set with my Grilled Beef Celery Set, RM18.90++.. I simply love the crunchy bits of chestnut in every sip! ^^b

Not bad.. the portion was just fine. Caryn ordered the same set without the drinks.. RM16.90++

The spring rolls came in a cute lil' basket! Just a lil' too salty but the sauce for dipping was excellente~!!

And Lucas's Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop Set, RM16.90++ as well... Didn't try his but they looked yummy enough.. :)

Lubie's Claypot Caramel Pork Belly Set, RM19.90++ Oooh this was smashing!! I've always LOVED porky's tummy~!!

And that's for 191210 lunch, leaving us determined to work harder in the coming week. Hahaha...

On the following Tuesday 211210 TSTMMV had a Christmas party in the training room.. Didn't plan to go at 1st coz it started at 10pm after work! And when it's late at night, things could become unpredictable... or uncontrollable, righto? Nevertheless we went.. and I could only say that the best things that night was the food...;

:9

the goodies bag for each of us was great;

the gift exchange session was not bad too;

the deco was okay... the birdie balloon was quite cool;

but definitely NOT the games!! FYI, they're not gay and they're not kissing. They're just passing poker cards using their mouth... Ugghhh.. beh tahan! =='''

I don't know how crazy they went after that coz I got to go back early. But thank God there wasn't any alcohol. I suppose it was just a high sugar@glucose effect.. ==

And the next day was Winter Solstice! My 1st time not eating glutinous rice balls at home.. TT Called home and found out that Mentaro and Moth2 and Owl2 and Cheesels and Niny were having steamboat! >:( Without me!!! TT

So Lubie and I went for something other than Mamak for dinner that night. And we resolved to eat tong-yuen!!

Went to Fun TaiPei Teacafe for dinner! ^^

To save your time from scrolling down pics after pics, I have conveniently paged them with Photoscape for you. Me so nice right? :D The food was scrumplicious! RM14.50 per set without tax whatsoever. I like~! I got myself a beef soup set with rice... Lubie had his 三杯鸡... I suppose it's 3 kinds of sauce or sth... But the way they greeted customers was way too loud and shocking and sometimes, too 热情 that I couldn't take it. Hahaha...

To keep the tradition of 冬至 besides satisfying our cravings for tong-yuen later, we dropped by at 甜品哥哥... the Q was horribly long! Looks like it's not just us keeping the tradition yet too lazy to make tong-yuens at home!

Sesame glutinous rice balls rolled in peanut crumbs. Lovely.. but I don't like sesame much...

I prefer this: Tong-yuen in ginger tong-sui... RM5.50 if they are all peanut-fillings..

And look at the peanut filling! Slurrrp~!!! :9 I guess to me only peanuts can do the magic. Hahaha

In fact, we went a second time because Caryn hadn't kept the festival that day... and because of some food voucher that entitled us to a set of sesame glutinous rice balls rolled in peanut crumbs if we spent 20 bucks and above...

This time around we ordered...

Tong yuen in milk... RM7.50... Too bad it's not soya bean milk...

Durian pancakes, RM8 per set of two...

I wonder where they got the durian.. The season's over isn't it?

Some ginger milk which was supposedly good for Lubie's coughing. But it turned out real hard to swallow and we gave up after half a bowl... RM7. Don't ever order this! Hahaha it's chef recommended some more can u imagine?

And ahh finally I'm coming to the end of the blog! Gosh I think I spent like 2-3 hours on this post!

Christmas's here and is over! We had a 'Do Justly. Love Mercy' event on Christmas Eve, where the church invited the poor and the needy for dinner, games, prayer and brought the gospel out of each station. I didn't take any pictures except for this.

Hahaha... == In fact, I didn't help out much coz we're late.. And the next day was the evangelistic night with dance, drama, dinner (wow 3Ds~!) and by God's grace Pastor Anton was here to preach! He talked about breakthrough in 2011 and God's promises and prophecies on us will come to pass! Woohoo~~ I want my whole family to submit under Christ!!! Oh yes and I got to see Grace again!! And she brought us Christmas gifts all the way from India! Authentic handmade Indian costumes! Will wear them and post up all the 自恋photos when I have the time ya! Hahaha...

Oh by the way, we've got a new member in the family... Introducing~~~

Plushie~! Not me okie.

Photobucket
Ooh what big eyes you have~!! Oops Plushie is shy. Hahaha...

Yaoyao will take good care of the new brother.. ^^ Lubie insisted that Plushie is a male. == But it has floral patterns all over wor...!!

Lubie got me the T too.. What?! You think I am charismatic + irresistible + magnet..? Oh yes I think so too! Hahahaha maybe M stands for muka tembok also~!!

LMAO~! Ciao~~~!!

another '5I' gathering!

I want to bloggggg~~~!! Argghh... this job is taking up too much of my time!! So glad that it's gonna end next week!

So exhausted and sleepy now but I've resolved to write something these few days! My photos have been piling up and they demanded to be shared! ;P

Let me dump the 1st batch here...

Date: 12.12.10
Venue: IKEA Damansara
Event: 5I gathering again!

Yea right... and the class only consisted of HH, KL, ET (all the way back from Ozzie!!) & HF!

Not forgetting me please! :)

Everyone sort of had their lunch... so the menu was mainly a Daim cake, meatballs and chicken wings and horrible tasteless 7-Up ==''' for sharing.

I was the only big eater. Herb baked salmon for RM15.90. Not exactly my wish! Was planning to feast on Grilled Chicken Leg & Blabla as shown in the catalogue... TT

Had a superb time catching up with one another... ET commented on how long it has been since he has heard so much Mandarin, and he couldn't decide on which language to speak it seemed hahaha... HH complained about how heavy her ear-test machine was and how she had to carry it around every day... HF, still sarcastic as ever, suggested her to bring to IKEA and tested on the patrons... KL was still her bubbly self and was the only one who could either make HF speechless or excited hahaha...

After lunch we went window shopping. Or perhaps that was the initial plan... *wink wink*

We weren't shopping wad... See? No shopping bags at all~!

No shopping bags coz they could fit into our tote bags muahahah.. Got a necklace from PDI Sale! After 70% off it's less than ten bucks muahahahahah... with cute lil' gold teddies somemore okay! I don't care what ppl say.. gold is the IN thing now! :P

Walked around The Curve but was not very much fascinated by the Christmas deco.. I want to see 1-U's!!!

HF: I don't take this kind of pictures... (I suppose he meant with choink-looking Christmas trees) and yet posed together when HH counted 1, 2, 3... hahaha...

Finally dinner at SS2 Murni coz ET wanted to try something local. And this was the best we could think of... fusions of Chinese, Indian, Malay & Nyonya cuisines! Had fun sharing and trying out all the dishes ordered! *like*

*And that's the end of the 1st batch photos*

Indescribably elated to see all of you! Hope that we get to do this more often! (Ya I know, I know, it's usually my problem... haha) Well, see u guys in a month I guess! I really thank God for our annual CNY visiting session! It's a tradition that must be kept until our hair starts to gray and our teeth fall ya! ^^

Till then, to everyone out there, even though Jesus was not born at this time, all the same Happy Christmas to you all! May it be a time of love, care & warmth!

God bless you!

all in one

The world is so small!

Was browsing through a church friend's photo album on FB and found a friend of hers who happened to be a customer whom I served in TOPMAN weeks ago and was a friend of a Form 5 friend of mine!

Are you dizzy trying to sort out the relations? Hahaha.. leave it then.. I'm just amazed at how FB connects people! ^^

I guess I should listen to Jacky and watch Social Network someday.. haha..

There's a wedding in church this morning.. didn't go coz I don't know the bride and groom very well. I think I've not spoken a word to the bride before. Hahah and I've never seen the groom! And I'm going to translate tonight!! The pressure is enough to sweep away the mood to go anywhere! Arrghh my Lord...! Let Ps David's sermon be powerful in a GENTLE way please~~!!

And Jong, you owe me like 10 times for this okay!!?

TT

Oh yea I promised to show you the long-legged bear right...

See how tall he is!

Caryn got a pat on the head too!

And this is D' Ultimate Super Ultra X-Bear (combination of superman, ultraman and x-man's power)!

See the spotlight on us? ^^ You only get this privilege when you take pichas with them at 11pm. Hahahah...

The Black Beauty.. his legs made superb sofa! But if I were to place him in the living room... err we'll have no place to land our feet I guess...

Caryn harassed him.

Lubie said I'm 变态 in this photo, which I dont understand why...!

They reminded me of Noah's Ark. Hahahah...

Adorable lil' snowman!

....

Ahh.. that's all! Keep me in your prayers!

p/s: Tomorrow meeting ET, KL, HH & HF!! Woohoo~~~~!! I can't wait to see you all~!

thank You Jesus

My hope to register for next sem was shattered into smithereens. TT After being told by the Pejabat Bendahari staff that 'Yes, your payment is settled. You can register online now...', we disbelievingly and happily went home and on our comps only to find that 'Pendaftaran sudah ditutup'...

Caryn called the office again and was told, "Salah you kan. Tak bayar awal-awal."

TT

Wanting to vent out our frustration, McD breakfast became the choice although we knew that we're going to get hungry real fast soon when we start work later.

Before heading home, went to Rhb to check whether my meager salary is in or not, only to find that my balance of RM24 became RM4 due to the 20-buck annual fee...

God, I want to thank You still. Oh yes, I will praise You!

jingle bells~ for christmas and a wedding!

Hello December!

Oh yes! 3 more weeks and I'll be free from part-timing! :D Actually there're 4 weeks left to new year, but I have taken almost one week off (4 days) to join the GA Youth Camp (finally~!)... And MIRACULOUSLY, they approved our leave! Thank You Jesus!! Sometimes I felt that Caryn and I might be too demanding: can work for only 2 months, sat & sun must off, friday morning must be morning shift, now another 4-day leave again... But God is gracious, and all who honor Him will have His favor, amen!? ^^b

Speaking of this, this month is, of course, the Christmas season celebrated worldwide! Although Jesus was not born at this time, it's still a time to give thanks and ponder upon the amazing grace in the awesome salvation plan God has had for us! Thank You Father!

Since the only mall I go to is Midvalley, I haven't had the chance to see the deco of the others... Maybe next week we could drop by at 1-U after lunch at IKEA, right dear?! ^^

Midval is having a 'Funtoystic' theme this year! So what do you expect to see... Lots and lotsa toys of course~~!

This is just one of the booths there. Famous Amos if I'm not mistaken. I took the picha coz I simply love the long-legged santa and snowman!!

And there're LOTSA teddies as well!! Long-legged teddies! I mean, really, really long legs! Hahaha... Some closer ones to the railings offer free hugs. I've got to remember to take the picha of the biggest bear some day...

Photo session with Mr. Brown.

Two octopi!

And this was one poor bear tied under a lamp post outside Topshop Topman. When Caryn saw it in the morning it was fine.. but by break time it was torn around the leg and its neck too! I wonder if those shoppers hugged him or bit him... ==

See? This mean girl still went and pulled his scarf. Poor bear. He must be so thankful that he was removed the next day!

Oh yeah by the way, I promised to post about Zul & Aisya's wedding aite? I think I should rephrase what I had written in the last post: it's our cohort friends' very 1st wedding, not our very 1st cohort friends' wedding... if you can recognise the difference... hahaha whatever~

Anyway, we went yesterday around noon time. It's the girl side, Nain's side would be next week at his hometown, to which I doubt we'll travel so far. Anyway there were just the 3 of us! Not fun enough! :( A-ar, who are those from AirAsia and MAS (放我们飞机)? Please turn yourselves in and be executed.

This was the best picture I managed to get... It's either my face got cut off or his. Hahaha...

We drove all the way to Sungai Buloh without knowing the exact direction! Ended up at Kampung Sg. Plong which led us to some eerie crossroad. On the way there's even a sign saying 'Buang batu karang dan makhluk halus' and our goosebumps were all over! o.O

Then called a few coursemates who RSVP-ed as 'attending' for directions but ended up they joined AirAsia and MAS as well! Sigh... and finally got Azreil to give us the right directions...

And when we saw this banner by the roadside, we knew that we could not have been wrong! Hahaha actually it's the RELA team who attracted our attention! Can you believe it? They actually invited RELA ppl to help guide the traffic!

Woohoo~! Congtrats to Nain & Aisha!

My 1st time eating nasi minyak! Nice~~!! I super *heart* the rendang daging! Very authentic and scrumpleeeyummilicious~~!! Caryn even went for a second round which she regretted later... hahahah.... they didn't provide spoons actually. We used the spoons for cendol. Hahaha.. I think besides the florists, we're the only Chinese guests there.. Hahah.. but they're all so warm and amiable! Even the guests who were seated at the same table chatted with us like long-time friends! d^^b

Before we left we got to take photos with them again at the pelamin... ^^ though we missed the ceremony in the morning... Good for Nain to get such a pretty wife! :D

Selamat bernikah, Nain & Aisya~!! And get some kids soon!! Hahahah.... We're really, really glad for you! ^^
