TP: half down, half more to go!

Has anyone missed me? :)

My absence for a whole month shows that I'm real busy ya... hahaha... come to think of it, yes I am busy, yet not to the extent of messy hair (messy room, yes! lol) and breathless moments... or not yet? But so far so good... God has been gracious, and Caryn and I were just saying the other day that well, practical is not so bad after all, at least not as vicious as they have put it. And we're entering into the 6th week! Which means 6 more weeks to go... and out of these remaining days, there are monthly test, merdeka break, Raya break (2 weeks!! yay!!), UPSR... all contributing to not having to do lesson plans!! :P

So after so long... Where did I pause my story... bout the teacher who did not like me?

Well, again by God's grace I was not placed under her supervision. I got another Malay teacher instead, humble and friendly and always ready to help! God You are good all the time! But when I see the former teacher every day I make it a point to greet her and smile, from the heart lah... and true enough when you are sincere to others, they will become nicer to you. Hahaha... Bless others no matter how they treat you and you will be blessed! Now she seems to be more amiable than what she used to be. No more cold shoulders! Praise God! ^^

I'm taking the English class of the Year 3 kids and Year 4 kids... 13 periods in all, which equals to 6.5 hours of lesson weekly! And there're of course loads of stories to be told! I think all teachers could come out with their memoirs! You know kids can just be so unpredictable and do things that you least expect! Which make your hair grow white at some point and other times, suppress your laughter because you're supposed to be angry! And it's true that they teach you more about life that you could ever teach them. It's from them that I see the ultimate pure hearts and sincere servanthood. They would 'fight' to help you carry just a pencil case. Haha... I don't know if there's any motives behind (e.g. skipping a few minutes of class or trying to please you...?) but I suddenly understand what Jesus means when He wants all of us to be like young children. And the best part, they believe in everything you say. Hahaha, well not all maybe, but most of the things!

My lecturer has come to observe me twice up till now. And I told the kids that she's coming to watch them. Well, of course it's just a half truth, but she's indeed coming to see how they respond to me right? :P Both observations have gone well, and I really thank God that the kids are not behaving too badly each time Mdm. Sheerin comes. Maybe she's got the face of a real stern teacher that the kids are a lil' afraid of her. Haha.. but it helps anyhow. All the years in college I had never come one-to-one with her concerning academic works. This time around after both reflection sessions I realised that she has really got the substance in her. Hahaha.. like Miss Illha. She really knows what she's talking about kind of thing. And when you try to improve your lesson according to what she has said you see the result... that kind of thing... So yeap, really gained a lot this time, and it's more than thousands of hours of lecture...

I have another observation coming up this Friday with my mentor. Just remember me in prayer if you... remember. Haha.. ^^

Oh guess what last Friday when Mdm. Sheerin came in to see me, I taught the kids actions of a few transports.. so I asked them.. Class, do you know how a sampan rocks gently from side to side? They excitedly exclaimed, 'I know! I know!' Then this is what they showed me...

i am also touched with one of my studends where he weeps when i am giving them "lecture" kind of thing...hahha...and after class, he came to me and said, "teacher, i feel sorry for u, that's why i cry and i promised not to be naughty anymore" ..hahah

btw, the "lecture" is about what goes around comes around :P :P :P

hahhaha...it's not that magic la girl..just a simple "lecture" only

i told them that they have to be good regardless of whoever the person is, that it is important to respect ur teachers and the elderly, frens etc.

i also told thm that they r my first "kids" since this is my first time having to hndle class which is about 3 months and all, that they have a special place in my heart, that i love them dearly, that i wnat to see them succeed in life

i also told them bout my expectations (what is my first impression towards them when i first came in to their class etc)

sometimes u need to play psycho with them. try to make them feel highly motivated by praising them but, later on u told them that they didnt keep that good attitudes all times and how it really dssapointed u..

u know what, once i've asked them "who wants to be teacher later on?" and some of them raise up their hands..so,to those who raise up their hands, i told them bout what goes around comes around.

me: if u r being naughty to me now, later on when u've become a teacher then you'll know how it feels when ur studnts just dont want to listen to u
stdnt A:so teacher, that means, if i am good now, later on i will get good stds la?
another stdnt: teacher, when u r a stdnts just like us, r u being naughty to ur teacher like us?
me: #@%$&^($%#$^*&R^$#!@ (speechless)

hahhaha....just that. mybe u can do the same to ur class too.
hope this helps

sharing is caring, aite?
:)

(again, pnjg skit comment ni :P)

Illi, i was just expecting the 'teacher, were u naughty also last ime (that's why u get naughty pupils like us)?' answer. hahahaha...

ya i shud try that.. i tried a bit that day, telling them actually they can compete with the next class which is a better class, it motivated only a handful of them but good enough la... for the rest, the effect lasted for a few minutes kot. hahahaahaah
