posting matters

Hi May!

I’m counting down to freedom! 16 more hours and I’ll be free from studying-for-exam for one whole semester! Yay!! ^^

Dealt with some posting procedures this week. It’s like so near yet so far! We have one more year to go. One more year to graduation; to parting; to going on our own separate ways. But to be asked to decide on where we want to go one year before all these just seemed a little too early!

Back to maktab in teachers’ attire. In fact, we went the day before and were halau-ed because we’re clad in jeans and t-shirts. Wasted half of our day going back and forth between Cheras & Pj. The effect of bureaucracy…. sigh!

I opted for Sarawak = uncertainties. The Kakak who managed all these sounded kinda surprised when she saw my form. Usually Sarawakians and non-Sarawakians will not choose that I guess. Why, Sarawak is so big, and there are so many rural primary schools without English teachers! All this while our lecturers scared us with ‘you’ll be posted to Sabah & Sarawak’… as if West Malaysia doesn’t have rural areas! I heard that a Hulu Selangor Tamil school just got its pipe water supply recently okay… after waiting for 50 years! Wow, that’s like not much difference from the ulu places in Sarawak & Sabah… Anyway, I think it’s not where I choose that’ll determine where I’d go. God is in reign anyhow. I believe it’ll be His best will for me wherever I get.

So these few days we’re just ransacking for certs & photocopying them and looking for passport pictures. I haven’t had enough… had to go to the studio and took new ones. I’m disclosing it here… so don’t laugh!!!

DSC02982Schema… Nerd… Whatever you name it. XD

And it’s so expensive! RM20 for 8 pieces only. I think back in my hometown you can get 12 pieces for RM8!

Just realised how old my offer letter was. 2005’s like 5 years ago…! Seriously couldn’t remember how I felt when I first got it. Again the cliche, how time flies!

And I’m going to be a real teacher sort of thing next sem. How does it feel like to be in authority I wonder. To be in front of the class, talking instead of listening. Reprimanding instead of being reprimanded. Nodding your head instead of greeting & bowing.

God, please don’t give me a school with scary pupils, those who like to challenge teachers! I don’t have faith in my classroom management skills. Yet.

Now I regret opting for Subang Jaya schools. I heard that the pupils are too advanced. *faints*

Anyway… let me just put all that aside and concentrate on my freedom now. 15 and 1/2 more hours to go. I can’t wait to go home and tour with my friends! Am half a tour guide for the 1st time! ^^

See, I’ve even gotten new Hawaiian shorts for the trip!

My beloved Kuching, see you in 4 days! :D
