Feb babies again and Nihon Kai

Happy Chap Goh Mei! Know I’m gonna publsih this after the clock stikes 12… How time flies! CNY is soon to be over and that means real hard work that keeps our nose to the grindstone is here! :(

Anyway, back to the topic, this is actually a continuation of Feb babies post…!

So first and foremost, Happy Birthday to baby Chonfan aka Ah-boy and a Blessed Belated Birthday to baby Jong (again!) and baby Christina!

To Ah-boy & Christina: Hope you’ve enjoyed your very 1st away-from-home bday! Don’t miss home too much! We love you guys!

To Amy aka Jong: Happy Birthday again old girl, this is your 2nd last bday with us! *emo suddenly* Nostalgic-lah seeing them so young & having so many years ahead of them… 想当年~~!!

Okay let’s not go too far~~ Just came back from celebrating their bdays and also 1st cell group after CNY break as well as Chap Goh Mei (I think) at Nihon Kai Jap Restaurant at Jalan Klang Lama!

*prepare your hearts for pictures of FOOD that might make you hungry and think of Mamak or Magee (BeeGuat, 2010), oops I mean Maggi and thus contribute to a few extra kilos… and the consequences go on and on…*

The teapot was BIG and cute! :)

The 1st batch of sushi arrived…

This was nice… It’s wrapped in cabbage!

Yumm~ Ebiko sushi (if I’m not mistaken…)

Jellyfish and baby octopus… I think it’s either you like or loathe it… hahaha

But sometimes it’s not a matter of your liking… you might be in a situation when you just have to eat it! You know, something like a rite of passage kinda thing… hahaha :P Well done, ah-boy, for swallowing that down!

Anyway, all of us ordered a good set of dinner! Angela and baby ordered ramen I think ^^

Dar’s come with this yummy beef soup… Sukiyaki? Not yucky at all!

Zuzhang’s… Was it salmon? I had too much salmon on our replacement pa-thology class that I hardly dared to eat another!

 

Took pictures after everyone had cleaned the last scrap on their plates…! Why some look like IC photos… haha

Then Zuzhangs became Santa… Ang Pao distribution! The trick was, there was one BIG angpao among all the others…! Who would be the blessed one?

And because everyone was too pai-se to take, we took turns… from the youngest to the oldest (not me! not me! :P) hahah…

And clearly the youngest one had favor from God lor…

He was so pai-se when we said the winner had to take picture… Think he must be wondering, “What kind of culture is this? Everything has to take picture?!” But yeay! Ah-boy’s treat next meal!!

 

Then the birthday bash began!

It’s good to follow traditions… Hahaha… I love their look when they made their wishes… like praying fervently like that~

 

Then because Ah-boy was the youngest and got the biggest ang pao… he had to become Maria and cut cakes for everyone…

My piece of American chocolate cake… Stuffed it down despite my bloating tummy…

And what’s a birthday without presents? Everyone gets something to fill the spiritual man! Lend me ya after you’ve finished reading/watching!

Before bidding farewell and see you tomorrow…

And here I wanna thank WeiPing & Angela for the treat! It WAS an extravagant dinner…! It’s been quite some time since we’re pampered this way… :) To me it’s really like 受宠若惊! february babies

I was thinking to collect all Feb bday celebrations but I’ve really gotta clear my pictures! Comp’s starting to lag dy…

So in this post I’ll feature only baby Jong and baby Priya… there are 3 more feb babies coming up…! Wow!

We celebrated both their bday together on Monday, but Jong’s was actually on the 18th during the break and Priya’s, 21st… But not all hsemates were back by then, hence the 22nd!

They had a surprise, at least I believed so…! :) We’re having a tiny weeny party savoring all the goodies brought back from cny… BeeGuat signaled to me a few times but I was slow to catch the ball… so when they realised there’re some whsipering going on, I had to lie that she wanted the chrysanthemum tea in the fridge to get the cake! Such a lame excuse but they fell for it… Yeay!

For their birthday cake, we had a special flavor this year!

Not bad but all of us don’t really like the cream… the sponge cake was great though… ^^

Happy 23rd Birthday, Jong & Priya!! Gosh, that’s real old! Many happy returns of the day and may God bless you!

And of course, this can’t be missed! This is the complete set of section 14 leng-lui’s~! Not easy to take this one k! We took four times and finally everyone agreed that they looked nicest in this one… haha vanity~!

Love such bonding times… ^^ we’ve eaten 2 cakes this year, more to come??! Let’s tambah a few more kilos hahaha…

my new year post

Although it’s coming to an end soon but I still want to wish whoever drops by here a very Happy Chinese New Year and may God bless you doubly this year!

This year’s CNY begins with the Western Valentine’s Day and ends with the Eastern… special isn’t it? ^^ and I read in the papers that such coincidence only happens once every few hundreds years!

Didn’t get to celebrate Valentine’s a.k.a. our 3rd Anniversary this year with him coz we’re all back in our hometown… but we have replacements before and after the break.. hahaha like going for classes… will post bout the replacements after I’ve got all the photos… ngeh ngeh ngeh… ^^

I believe it has sth to do with my age… as this time around I dont look forward so much to the new year celebration as before… to me it’s more like a real break from the hectic life and getting together with family & friends… especially Niny!!! Gotta show her pictures first!

Niny knows how to grab things dy! Her bolster is even bigger than herself! She’s especially fascinated by bright colors… Try wearing a white T-shirt with colourful, stands-out patterns and see what she’ll do to your chest… hahaha…

And she’s learning to roll over… smart girl! Needs some scaffolding at times… And when she gets tired she just drops her head and lies facedown and pants… argghh cuteness!

And she gurgles more now… *will upload more videos soon* Since she’s learning how to roll and crawl… she prefers if you hold her in a sitting position… If she lies down too much she’ll start complaining… and twice we heard her saying “Bao~~~~ baaoooo~~~” (Carry)…. guess she’ll start calling ‘Papa’ first and not ‘Mamma’… Sorry Sist… you lose~~ ahaks!!

Let me highlight some chronologies of the cny this time around…

Was very ‘guai’ to follow my mom and auntie to the market EARLY in the morning on new year eve… I mean real early! 4.30 am okay! These peeps’re crazy… and that includes my mom… haha… I don know what they’re fighting for… but the place was real packed and we really had to jostle through the crowd.

But I must say the groceries were really fresh…. The fish were still jumping up and down…

As my reward for lugging the heavy basket around, I had my kolomee for the first time after ages…! Not bad actually, better than expected… So friends you can try this next time when you come in May…

In the afternoon… Handmade some seaweed crackers with my sister this year… And we even had time to fry keropok! Dont know why last year we never found time to do all these… But they tasted lousy-er than Jong’s mom’s… oh yeah… the main problem we forgot the MSG hahahaha…!

And as a tradition in my house (not the Chinese, mind you), we’ll stick all the fake apricot flowers (I think!) on the potted plant outside the gate… don know when it started but since then it became a must! But not bad too for artificial flowers… they added on to the CNY feel… ^^

And burning firecrackers when the clock struck 12… my dad’s job for many many years… so far no successor has been trained yet… hahaha

And on the 1st day of CNY a.k.a. Valentine’s… we went for sushi after church! My second sister’s treat for getting her payslip! Yay~! And Niny’s parents were so shweeeet!! The Papa got the Mama a bouquet of roses, pre-booked one okay! *Louis please take note! :P*

And Niny got to hold the roses for a while.. although I don think she cared bout it anymore than her milk hahaha…

And our annual cny visiting began (again) at my house this year on the 3rd day… and we took pictures at the same porch with the same pose… hahaha… next year let’s be crazier a lil’ shall we? :)

There’re more photos but they’re all in FB… *Press ‘Like’ button* Hahah… although we only went to a few houses… I guess we all realised how tiring visiting can be… ^^ Got to keep in touch with each other and update! I wonder how long we could go on… This is like the 6th year since Form 5 ended! Let’s keep it up peeps! d^^b

And that night we went to Niny’s house for BBQ… Nice~!

Good BBQ and Foochow food but smelly baju + no time to play with Niny…

Argghh it’s late! I’ve got a class at 8 in the morning! Gotta end this fast~~

 

Went out again with my visiting mates again the following night and had a good time at bing! coffee…

and oh yeah… I drove there!!! At night okay!! It was a miracle my mom let me… hahaha in fact, drove quite a lot this break… I don fear roundabouts anymore (coz it’s an auto car :P)!!

YaoYao’s 1st shower

Washed my bear for the very 1st time after almost 2 and 1/2 years! Oops…. the ugly truth reveals! I washed him because I had to! He was wet and brown from the fire that day.. Didn’t manage to save himself.. haha

So he sat quietly and obediently as his owner switched on the washing machine… Cold water came splashing down on his head… Freezing cold! He shivered but she didn’t notice…

Then she started pouring some white powder that almost made him sneeze… He suppressed the coming ah-choo’s with much effort. After that the scrubbing of his head and paws… The latter was very ticklish! It made him giggle quietly…

And he did not remember anything at all because the spin had made him dizzy… and he must have passed out… squeezing in that dark turmoil of soapy water with Doraemon was really a torture… he did not like it a single bit.

The beeps of the machine woke him up. He looked up, relieved to see his owner’s face again… and he knew he’s going to be dry! No more soaking!

To his surprise, she took a thin black hanger and stuffed him through it in all the ways she could… He was floating in the air! For once he felt like one of the Carebears in the sky…! Yipee~

After what seemed like eternity, It was time to get down… His owner gaped at the damage done to the hanger…

She’s going to be in trouble coz the hanger’s not hers! She didn’t even know whose it was!

But YaoYao was far from worries… Now he sat on his owner’s bed again, white, clean and proud!

This is the story of YaoYao the white bear… why that old-fashioned name? Go and ask my dear… he was the inspiration… hahaha ^^

Oooh by the way I want to show you my ‘new’ bedroom (since I’ve shown u my bed)! I’ve changed the position of my bed and wardrobe! Different environment more motivation!

I don have a nice picture of my clean room before the fire… but before that I used to place my bed along the wall… and my wardrobe near the door…

Have thought of changing their position from time to time… but they’re too heavy! Now since I’ve got this good opportunity I might as well…!

Nice? I like! The new floor mat too! Matches with the white-washed walls… and it makes the whole place look bigger and brighter! Compared to the old brown one… aduih!
