‘5I’ gathering!

I must be too free to blog on a pre-exam night!

De-stress for a while la… Looking forward to the lonnggggg holiday and kuching trip. Haha. Me sound so not like a Kuchie! XD My friends are coming over in May, and that’s like…

16 days away!

And I’m sure I’ll have loads of pictures to post from Day 1 to Day 8 then! IF the connection is good.

Outings + friends = heaps of fun!

Had our very 1st gathering in KL on Thursday… after 5 – 6 years! I can’t believe it! I mean, we’ve been in KL for so long… And have never been out once!? And those who’re in Ozzie have been meeting up like so… frequently!

Inspired (ha-ha), we went to MidVal & watched movie! Ice Kacang Puppy Love was the very 1st local movie I’ve watched in cinema. Not bad… but maybe it’s coz it’s not action-packed so I think you don’t have to go to the cinema for it. Anyway, to be able to support a local production is a good reason to go after all.

DSC02932The evidence that we went. Hahah… KhaiLing & Honkiet, you want to keep the tickets or not? They are still with me. Our very 1st & last memorable outing k!

The story is about ice kacang & puppy love la… Hahaha redundancy. The story’s like tergantung at the back, maybe they want to come out with a sequel sort of thing.

But until now I still can’t get “ 情人,情人”out of my head! Oh my…

After that we met up with HuiHui who just had her last paper (unfair!!) and went shopping together. Sigh, the problem of ladies: our clothes are never enough it seems!

DSC02934Got myself a Harajuku floral top in JJ! I tried to restrain myself but this one was too cheap to let go… *battle failed*

Then we just walked around MidVal aimlessly… and sort of caught up with one another. Bonding was the ultimate purpose after all! ^^

HonKiet brought his new DSLR. So we snapped photos everywhere, and KhaiLing tried to get some good mirror spots… but some shops didnt allow it.

Found one finally. *pic stolen from HK’s FB*

The funny part was after this shot, some Indian tourist got inspired by KL’s idea of taking pics and he literally asked us to shoo so that he could take photo there too. ==

Dinner was at KimGary (again! I seem like a big fan of KG)… Sorry, and thanks peeps for being so thoughtful for me the herbivore!

DSC02929

Nth much to choose from so I ordered Japanese Tofu & Mushroom in cheeeese…

DSC02926

HuiHui & her ice-cream!

The geram part was that I didn’t take more pictures using my own phone! Wonder why I didn’t! TT

Anyway it was a great day spending time together with you guys. I just wish we had more ppl joining us. Too bad most of us are not here! We’ve known each other for a decade now! As for HuiHui, 16 years okay! Woww… Hopefully our annual CNY visiting could keep us gathered at least once a year and continues on until we’re married with children, with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hahaha…

Friends forever! d^^b

eccentric chiney boss

I could type 华语字in my computer finally!

Attempted to type this post in chinese but it was way too hard. I guess it just didnt sound like me. Oh man, but I think in Chinese all the time! So what should I do? Chinese and English both 半桶水!

Anyway, there’s this new chinese coffee shop at my place, which is just opposite the usual chiney that we always go to and have gotten quite sick of it. When this new one (called 旺众) was still renovating, we were so excited coz we thought ‘Finally there’s another option for dinner!’ sort of thing. And it’s always good to have a little competition among shops coz customers will always benefit out of it, since all this while the chiney shop has been dominating the business.

So we went this evening, glad to find that it’s still open. And the boss, I presume, came out and invited us to go in and have a seat. We were discussing what to eat since most of us’re still herbivore for the time being and only a few stalls were open there. The boss was still pestering for us to go in… So in the end Jong, Caryn & BeeGuat went in and sat down while Priya, B and I decided that we should tapao-ed the economy rice at the old chiney shop.

And this boss, anxious that we’re leaving it seemed, kept telling us that the dishes over there were finished. We sort of ignored him and went anyway. And he kept asking (I think if he could he would have chased after us), ‘Are you going over there? You are really going over there…?’

Arrrgghhh……

Then we got intimidated and decided we should just ate at the old chiney shop. Jong then called and asked us not to go back there too. Coz the boss kept asking them why we left!

After dinner we went over and found that only BeeGuat was eating; while Jong & Caryn’re still waiting! The boss came again and paced around like a supervisor making sure his customers eat! Then he saw us and asked if we had our dinner. We nodded and he showed a so-I-lose-so-what face and asked sarcastically if we got our meals for free… The truth was that we got our dinner a lil’ cheaper today! Then he mumbled to himself, “Yea, 3 (ate) here and 3 (ate) there, fair enough…”

I was like ????????????????????????????????????

Seriously, do you have to be THAT desperate? It’s just the second day of business and you’re scaring your customers away! You’re like a lion waiting to pounce on anyone who refuses to eat at your place!

I thought we have found another makan place but if that’s going to be the boss’s attitude, I ain’t sure if I dare to step into or even pass by his shop again. Guess we’ll have to stick to old chiney…! ==

a year older, a year wiser ^^

2 down, 3 more to go! Yea yea I know Science ppl are screaming ‘One last one to go!!’ o.O

Well, on a more positive & grateful note, we have more time to revise. Hahaha… consoling myself.

Anyway, all work and no outing makes siangshian a dull girl. Err… maybe not a girl anymore, but not yet a woman! *Britney Spears starts singing at the background* hahahah

Celebrated my 23rd birthday last Sunday. Wasn’t the best timing because the next day we had the Ethnics paper. Still, my housemates were kind enough to spare their zzz time for me on Saturday night. Thanks gurls! Love you guys lots! Hugs & muacksss….!

Last but not least, thank you Mommie, for all the pain & labour you have gone through for me… And for all these years of toil and tears, I couldn’t thank you enough… Just want to tell you that I REALLY REALLY LOVE YOU!

And last last but never the least, thank You Lord! May my days in this life glorify Your Name!

“For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16

study week + shopping + food marathon – studying (if only) = BLISSSS

Study week is meant for shopping & eating & sleeping & Burger Shop & studying…

And I assure, we’re really studying HARD here. ^^ Serious.

Ethnics paper is on next Monday, followed by Entrepreneurship the next day. Both objective papers. Sound easy-peasy but sometimes it’s even harder to score like this. Like my Tamadun Islam paper last term. Sigh.

So these few days are all about memorising and cramming as much as we can into our brain.

I need a good break. In fact, we’ve planned where to go and what to do next week. :D

Want to go to SS2 night market next week. Can you believe that I’m here for almost two terms and have never been there? Not even once??

Then… Times square again? Very dangerous. I overspent again last Saturday. Hahaha… As usual. But what’s more important is that you’ve got to be SATISFIED with your ‘harvest’! Nyahahaha…

DSC02739

I am! :D

This is gonna be the 1st in my practicum formal wear collection. Have to look for long ‘ah-ma’ skirts after this. *giving myself excuses to shop again :P*

Anyway I’ve got to make sure these clothes last until my real posting, meaning I can either maintain or reduce my current figure… so thank God for the 40-day fasting & praying after our food marathon!

After KFC on Thursday, we had BT2 tomyam (again) on Friday. Saturday was KimGary’s set lunch. Oh my~~

DSC02733The leftover from the 3 of us. Can feed a lot of African children I know. Seriously we couldn’t stuff ourselves anymore. Thought of tapao-ing for Mao-mao the orange cat. But then how to tell the waiter? :P

DSC02736Bad choice…. Next time should just order a set and everyone shares. Hahaha~

DSC02737

Oh I’m so gonna burst~

Our tummy had a good break on Sunday. Then Monday we thought of Sushi King RM2 Bonanza~! Big disappointment coz there’s a problem with the card thing… so we opted for Pizza Hut.

DSC02754Royal Masala with add-on 3-layer cheese! I’m salivating still!

DSC02757

And of course the not-miss-able latest 10-layer Chunky Loaded!

DSC02758

A whole-and-one-sixth comparison. Teachers, please use this to teach fraction. Your pupils’ll love you!

DSC02759

I love mine with lotsa cheese powder!!

DSC02775

We finished up the whole container… hiak hiak…

DSC02761

And we decided that pizzas alone were not enough… and ordered lasagna!

But frankly speaking, I don’t like Pizza Hut’s lasagna. It tastes like egg only…

DSC02770

Then everyone’s like high sugar level…

DSC02829

Cheesy wedges… Still makes me drool!

That’s the bad thing of having KFC & McD like… less than 100 metres from ur house… Hahaha…

Oh my I mustn’t let my mom see this! She’ll have plenty to say!

bye 3rd year!

Sem’s over… Which marks the end of my 3rd year!

And there’s 1 more year to go…

before graduating, posting, working, earning $$, working, getting old, working, working…

The fear that accompanies adulthood. Hmm. Maybe not fear. Uncertainties. That’s more like it.

Anyway, we just said bye to the semester yesterday (since it’s 3.20 am now)… and it ended quite well, with no pending printing assignments waiting for us. Every assignment and presentation is over and done with, by the grace of God!

I guess it’s the going-to-part feeling that makes us so eager to capture memories through professional’s lenses and amateurs’ camera phones. In fact, we took pictures with all the lecturers! Except for one who didnt come… and I didn’t bother with the replacement teacher who seemed kinda biased…

DSC02682

This is Dr. Tom Lahaie who taught us Language Games. His trademark is his ukulele! And you can expect songs and more songs whenever he’s around…

DSC02674

Ethnics lecturer, Dr. Ngeow Yeok Meng who preferred to be called Dr. Meng… hahaha.. just discovered that she’s quite cool on the last day of lecture… :P

DSC02699

with a pecan cake sponsored by Dr. Ju as the highlight,

DSC02725

thumbs-up! But the main course was KFC…

DSC02721

That makes 2 kinds of fast foods in 2 days… and it seems that there’re more coming up… oh my unhealthy lifestyle!

I guess I’ll just treat this as my motivation for the study week. Let’s hope I do study! :PP
