500 days of summer

Watched 500 Days of Summer with Caryn just now and Zooey Deschanel is oh-so-pretty, even in pajamas! :9

Comments? Hmm, some ppl say that this is an awesome one, but not really to me. Coz in the middle I got quite pek-chek with both of them: why is the guy not taking initiative? And why is the girl leading him on if she has no more feelings for him??

She truly is gorgeous! And the guy’s got enough charm… ^^

But yea, at least it has a good ending. Would love to watch 50 Years of Autumn if they’re gonna make one and let me act in it hahaha…

Anyway, moral of the story: strive for L.O.V.E and what makes you happy in life and not just sitting there and waiting for it to bump into you! ^^

Overall rating: 3/5 maybe coz I’m not really a fan of romance novels/movies. :p

to @Louis Cheng :"P

Warning: If you’re not Louis Cheng or not interested in US, please close your browser to avoid feelings of nausea and distress.

Okay today is Blogging Day. :P SiangShian I promise you I would do my assignments tomorrow!

Saw a church friend’s note on FB just now. I think I need to credit her here so that she doesn’t sue me (unless she copy-pastes from somewhere else).

So correction: Saw @Rachel Chin’s note ‘This is called boyfriend’ on FB just now. (Sidetrack a bit: How I wish I can tag ppl thru Blogger. And they get notified thru FB. Good suggestion? ^^)

And the note was so very, very, very long. And I thought the 1st part was kinda cruel to all boyfriends and yet I couldn’t help agreeing (coz I’m girl ma XD)… hahaha

The second part tells the criteria of a perfect boyfriend that sort of thing. Of course, this is very subjective, and I don agree with all. But the moment I scan through the list, I can’t help checking and crossing him off it.

It goes like this:

男朋友就是虽然身上没什么钱,也会请你吃饭的那个人;
男朋友就是早晨你醒来时第一个想到的那个人;
男朋友就是能跟你打电话聊到半夜都舍不得挂的那个人;
男朋友就是在你最艰难的时候陪伴在你身边的那个人;
男朋友就是为了不让你担心,无论出了什么事都要自己默默承担的那个人;
男朋友就是手机里总是存满你给他发的短信,直到信箱满了都舍不得删掉的那个人;
男朋友就是无论你是不是漂亮都会夸赞你漂亮的那个人;
男朋友就是常察看你的手机纪录,确信跟你常联系的都是你的女性朋友才放心的那个人;
男朋友就是在你任性、耍小脾气时,也会忍住脾气不会冲你发火的那个人;
男朋友就是看到你流泪时,为你擦去泪水给你一个温暖拥抱的那个人;
男朋友就是就算你犯了错误,也舍不得骂你的那个人;
男朋友就是可以在车站等你很久也不会介意的那个人;
男朋友就是明明最不喜欢逛街,还能陪你一家一家的逛到你觉得满意为止的那个人;
男朋友就是有着宽厚的肩膀可以让你随时依靠的那个人;
男朋友就是吃饭时放慢速度等你的那个人;
男朋友就是总是让你走在马路内侧的那个人;
男朋友就是过马路时会紧紧拉住你的手的人;
男朋友就是就算情人节也不会买花给你,让你对他又爱又气的那个人;
男朋友就是深夜为你开着手机的那个人;
男朋友就是当你读到这篇文章时立刻会想到的那个人.

Assessment result: 15/20 *some are not quite applicable*

I was actually surprised there’re many Yes-es as I scanned thru (:p), but yep, I can’t deny the fact that you’ve done a lot for me dear! A million thanks to you bb! Lotsa hugs & cookies~! :-*

I know this is kinda 无聊 but it does remind me to appreciate you more and count my blessings~!

Is your tank full? *wink wink*

Note: For those who dont understand Chinese, I’m sorry. If you care real enough to know what it’s all about, you can go to Google Translate, although it gives the funniest interpretation sometimes… hahaha… one of the best medicines if you’re down, get an emo post and translate it into Malay or sth, it IS hilarious!

a little getaway

Taking a ‘break’ from assignments… padahal not doing at all… hahaha…

My mommy & eldest sista came last week for my 2nd sista’s graduation day… didnt go.. :( Had a supposed presentation but didnt get to present coz the group before us exceeded the allocated time and the lecturer went on giving comments for half an hour when he said he would just speak for 5 minutes! Hmmmph… so I got a bit pissed off at 1st coz have to wait till this coming Thursday to present (just when I thought I could be free from another burden) + the thought of I should have gone to my sis’s graduation instead, but was reminded that my Father is in charge in all situations… so no more complaints lah

Anyway I don have pictures of my sista’s graduation, you’ll have to go to her FB… if she uploads them.

Anyway, congrats Sist~! Finally… after the long, long 5 1/2 years!

It’s my turn next year! Yay~!!

Went to stay with Mommy at Coronade Hotel for a night… Mostly shopping & eating. ^^ My eldest sister’s like so deprived of shopping after graduating for like… 4 to 5 years? Dont count how old she is please.

My mom could only hunt for her Mentaro suits in MidValley. She had an abundant harvest! Hahaha… Both my sisters were like ‘fighting’ with her to pay for her clothes. And I could only stare. And I tell you, it DOES motivate me to work. Like, seriously.

DSC02488   I miss her! TT

Gosh I must really compliment MidValley for the Alice’s Wonderland setting! Too bad we didnt go on those days where we could meet the characters… But yeap, it’s beautiful. A good gimmick to attract customers. :)

DSC02486 The great enchanting gates… do they have a special name for it? I havent watched it.

DSC02487 The mushrooms that could last you a lifetime…

Could somebody who has watched the movie tell me whether it is worth-watching? Coz I heard some ppl said the 3D was disappointing.

makan also boring

These few weeks we’ve gotten real sick of our common food places… Not being ungrateful or anything. But imagine you can only eat either Mamak or Chiney food every day…? I think we’ve tried basically all the edibles on the menu… meaning some are not edible? and the uncles know us very well too… no discounts tho. :(

Sigh… we’re the lazy lot of ppl who wont drive to eat out, so all the places we go to are always within walking distance. Maybe not all of us are like that. But to me it’s a real waste of time… hahaha… (eat also lazy!) Unless there’s a birthday or celebration or special occasion sort of thing…

But sometimes you can really find some real good stuff in a place which doesnt really serve good food. To us it has become like their signature dish kinda thing. You know we’ll go and eat there just because of that particular food/drinks.

Like Kim Gary’s French Toast and YinYong.

DSC02477And this Kopilo in the Ipoh Kopitiam near my house… The food there is so-so, but the Kopilo aka Kopi + Milo is real thick and heavenly! I mean… so far I’ve tasted… Too bad they put too much ice… You order ‘kurang ais’ also they put a lot… ==

Well ya… this is supposed to be a boring post, so that’s all. *Yawn*

Note: Chiney means chinese coffee shop… It’s an assimilation of English and Tamil language (Choopedia, 2010).

I used to

What do you do when a once close one of yours is not anymore? And there seems to be such a tall unbreakable wall between you both?

In the past you used to look forward to meeting each other, but now the sight of the phone number makes you shudder.

In the past you used to cry and say 'I miss you' when parting, now you cry tears of relief.

In the past you used to talk about everything under the sun, now your conversation is only about what to eat for lunch.

In the past you used to think about solutions for problems together, now you settle your own trouble and hope the other party wont interfere.

In the past you used to be frank about everything, now you don't dare to ask anything.

So what do you do?

What do I do?

Things change. People change. Life goes on.

I miss you-ed.

a not quite, yet rather eventful day

Made a quite spontaneous trip to Nilai this afternoon… Caryn wanted to see Christina before she went off for practicum in Tapah and Kulim. And we planned to go by train a.k.a. KTM, have lunch with her and come back. Because the return journey may take up to 4 hours, she planned to set out at 10 sth in the morning…

My moral dilemma (next time can show Dr Visha this example hahah): Should I do my assignments or escape?

Thank God bb said he could fetch us and we drove all the way there. Less than 1 hour journey!! Yeay~!! Thanks dear… you make OUR day! :D

And so we met up with her and had lunch together… d^^b Sempat fooled around with Chris’ nurse hat. ^^

DSC02450 Sigh… not sexy enough… XD

DSC02451Bye-bye Christina! Hope to see you in May before the long break…

Then tonight we’ve got no cell group… We’re again the Fantastic Four with Christina’s absence, Audrey has a test tomoro, Lucas in Taiwan… But there’s a great speaker in church, Rev David Wu who came all the way from US. Oh my, his anointing of prophecy and vision was oh-so-amazing… Not my first time listening to him, but the awe was still as intense… But he was right in saying that it’s not him who speaks or heals, but the True and Living God!

And He’s gonna exalt us from faith to faith, from glory to glory! Just what I needed! Sowed a seed not long ago and watched it grow a lil’ bit. But now the growth seems to have stunted and if left unattended it might just wither… I dont know what to do sometimes… and the best way now seems to be but pray, until SOMETHING happens!

Lord I praise Your Name!

Tomorrow night there’s another session on 2010 Prophecies. I’m looking forward to hearing what God has installed for us this year! ^^

After service we went to our usual SS2 supper spot. But tonight Caryn seemed to mengidam tong-sui… but I needed real food… so we had moral dilemma again… haha… Then Dr Visha’s strategy of compromise became useful. Eat real food 1st then eat tong sui. We really ate twice!!

DSC02453 Literal translation: Brother Dessert

We thought the name sounded a bit gay funny. Haha. I suppose the owner is a young guy. Anyway, the choices are like so many until you get tired of picking what you want to eat!

DSC02454Amateur shot. I’m gonna repeat what I’ve been saying all night: I’m on my way to become a professional!

What Caryn ordered: Bean Curd with Fruits. RM5.00. She was like hesitating between A and B and finally chose C. Not bad… but it’s a bit too common for me. Haha. By the way Caryn, it’s really tauhufah la, not tofu!!

DSC02463BB’s Durian Ice. RM6.50. The whole thing tastes like durian and durian and nothing else. I thought he’s gonna get sick of it after a while… He didn’t. He was crazily in love with it until the last sip! ==

DSC02458

Jong and I shared a Walnut Sweet Soup + Sweet Rice Balls… I thought I took a picture of it but I couldn’t find it in the folder. Anyway, there you can see it, it’s brownish and thick and tastes like walnut!! Not bad for RM7.00 but I still think we should have ordered Peanut Sweet Soup.

DSC02464Black Sesame Paste inside the Sweet Rice Balls. I wonder if we can order other pastes instead. *pic focused wrongly*

For my dearest non-Chinese friends, we call the sweet rice balls ‘Tang-Yuan’ in Chinese. We always eat this in a festival in Dec… Not sure of the name of the festival but some calls it Winter Solstice. Represents reunion in the family. And some ppl say you have to eat this according to your age, meaning if you’re 23, then makan-lah 23 biji. If you’re 80 and don know how to swallow, errr….

DSC02461And that’s all la… How much is this one you ask?

Priceless. ^^ MasterCard offers you

This is too much!!!

First of all, if you're looking for pictures in this post I have none for you. But I do have a whole lot of frustration and dissatisfaction to vent out! So if you're not ready to have your ears polluted please close your browser.

We're having this Entrepreneurship Course and there're 27 of us in a group. Mind you, 27 okay! And our target is to sell things or services and reach a target profit of RM2000 end of March. And so there we are, selling oranges lah, T-shirts lah, packet drinks lah, blah blah... And this profit is to be divided by ALL 27 ppl by the end of the sales.

If I'm freer than anyone else in the group I don mind selling while some of us don seem to be doing anything. The problem is, all of us are busy with course work and assignment deadlines to meet, not mentioning that I am so fortunate to be chosen as the secretary and has a lonnngggggggggg business plan to do which could affect the assignment marks for all 27 people! And yet people are dumping their responsibilities on our shoulders as if they're so much busier than us!!! What the heck??

Just because we seem to have the initiative to sell things, carrying them in and out of the campus every day because we cant park the car inside, (even on days when we're wearing high heels!), people think we are too free and have nothing better to do!

Please lah, when you buy some stocks to sell, take care of them and don't dump to other people! And SELL them! Did we buy cartons of drinks and dump them to you? Hello~ Did NOT!!!! We carried them from one class to another, up and down countless flights of stairs and took care of them ourselves okay??!

I know all this is supposed to be teamwork and you might be saying 'Hey you shouldnt be so calculative and blah blah~' But what if the team that consists of 27 ppl only have half of them (or even less! I dont want to know!) working?? Are we gonna let them be passengers and shake their legs and enjoy the return together?

I believe in 'you reap what you sow'.

Buck up a bit can or not, people!? Isn't this YOUR assignment as well?

To those who have worked hard, thank you very much! I see and appreciate your effort!

To those who by any chance read this and feel tersinggung, are you included in the category I'm grumbling against? I'm sorry if you feel that way but this is what I feel. It's enough for me to not be appreciated and manipulated anyhow...

That's it. Case closed.

Disclaimer: All of the above are my personal views and mine alone and do not represent anyone close to me. If you're still unhappy, come look for me.

pa-tho.logy replacement class 2

It’s 12.20 am now. And I’m determined to finish…

my assignment. blog.. assignment… blog… sigh… It’s so easy to give in to the flesh. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.

I need to clear this batch of photos. Aim: before 12.50 and sleep at 1am!

Well, after CNY we decided that we’d not learnt much from the pathology class last time so we should have another replacement class… *crap*

Went to The Curve… Didnt get lost coz we did our homework: Google map!

DSC02280

The place was still in the CNY mood…

DSC02279

Found a beautiful Garden!

but didn’t enter coz it looked kinda expensive! Spent too much $$ shopping before CNY dy… now must budget a bit… We couldn’t decide what to eat… and since it’s noontime, we ended up in an Indonesian restaurant called~

DSC02285

Waroeng Penyet! Attracted by the cute chicken. Hahaha…

All the things inside are penyet Indonesian…! The workers, the language they spoke, the MVs they played… and of course the menu…!

We ordered an orange juice and an avocado… Guess what the black-black stuff is…

DSC02283

Chocolate syrup! *yumm* :D

DSC02293

And tried their famous Ayam Penyet (flattened fried chicken)… RM6.00… The sambal was oh-so-hot!

DSC02296

This is Bakso kosong! Hahaha what a cute name… It’s actually Java beefball soup… RM5.00… A bit too salty for my taste…

DSC02294

And I guess I must be so hungry and craving for real food that I ordered Kangkung Belacan… see? see? Very scrumpliiiicious for RM5.00! I can finish my rice with that alone I think!

DSC02295

Can we start eating already??

DSC02289

Oh yeah, I mustn’t forget the crackers… for RM1.90 you get quite a size punya basket of this. I saw two girls eating one basket of these each! My, I was so bloated I wanna burst dy…

Not bad overall… But I think for the portion we ordered, we can invite 1 or 2 more ppl to join us… but of course don invite big-sized crocodiles like Louis…

Then we went jalan-jalan at IKEA and looked at furniture and argued which was more comfortable or which color looked nicer…

And at last agreed that a foldable dining table looks kinda cool! It’s sth like the NORDEN gateleg table…

Looks really ‘green’ and in sync with the nature (ahaks) and save space too! ^^

After one round… we decided that we should eat AGAIN! Arrghh… sinful~!!

DSC02308

There were lotsa ppl and the queues were freaking long! But for the sake of food, we’re more than willing~!

DSC02306

Sempat take pictures while queuing~ Look at the ppl behind us!

DSC02309

They provided food trays for customers esp family… and all the utensils and furniture used could be found in the showrooms so you can imagine living in one of those ‘houses’… hahaha…

DSC02313

We grabbed a Daim chocolate cake… (to Cohort 4 readers only: You know the chocolates Fafa used to bring back from Labuan? Yes! That Daim!) Very very thick and scrumptious and fattening! I like~~ RM5.30!

DSC02311

Initially we agreed to try this next time, since we’re still full from lunch… and that was only like 2-3 hours ago… but then a lady in front of us ordered this and it was just too hard to pass by and not scoop it onto our tray! So here I have the chance to introduce Poached salmon and boiled potatoes in chive sauce! RM11.90 (Please do correct me if I’m wrong)!

I’ve decided that I dont like it… The salmon was weird… I don know… Not fresh? Not sure… But it sure was ‘fishy’…

DSC02315

And here’s what everyone was in IKEA restaurant for… the Swedish meatballs! They’re having some promotion now whereby you can get 10 meatballs and chips for RM9, initially RM10… oh only on Tuesdays!

DSC02319

The sauce was superb… and they gave you one slab of berry jam… Weird combination but taste heavenly! Reminds me of what the Indon lady in the queue said to the worker, “Bagi sos cili (referring to the jam) banyak sikit ya!” He gave her two slabs… I wonder how her expression was like when she tasted the ‘chili sauce’… hahaha~

Thank God Louis was sensible enough to only order 5… RM5! Coz we’re practically pushing the food to each other after a few bites…

DSC02318

And for RM2 you get refillable coffee both ori and cappucino! We had 3 cups of it! I simply *heart* it… with lotsa cream & sugar! If you don’t like coffee you can opt for RM1.50 refillable fizee fizzy drinks…

And *BURP*… Ahhh.. that’s all…

Oh yeah, we ran into church ppl… Kantoi~!!!

*It’s 1.24am! Mission failed. :(

-just a sudden emotional tidal wave-

a not quite, yet rather eventful day

Congatulations... and celebrations!

Congratulations to my beloved darling twin sisters, Chee & Tze a.k.a. Cheezels for such wonderful results in SPM!

Praise the Lord!! Hallelujah~

Chee-chee got 7A+s, 2As and 1A- while Tze-tze got 6A+s, 3As and 1A-!

Straight As!! Pheeewitt~~!!

pic I stole from their FB... I just realised I had none of theirs! Pretty like me right? I know~

Although i can't celebrate with you guys now you can always reserve my treat till May. I'll be back for great food! I mean, FREE great food~!

Ur sista is so proud of you! Muacks! Miss you monkeys!
