SEP spells B-O-R-I-N-G

Cant believe I have a lot more free time during SEP compared to my holiday..! Today is only the 2nd day and yet we’re all starting to grow mushrooms all over (生菇dy =.='").. Most schools are in their exam week now.. So we’re left to rot ourselves.. And that equals to more work for the last 2 weeks..

Sigh.. BORING!!

And so much so that I actually look forward to teachers giving us clerical job to do.. Like stapling and counting test papers.. And also the landscaping job that we’re supposed to get involved in..

Tomorrow would be my last day tuition’ing, most probably.. Really cant stand tuition classes straight after school hours..It’s like working from 7am to 7pm.. Last night came back home around 9pm.. Exhausted! Dahlah have to wake up so early in the morning.. Hahaha.. lazy bum.. and have been neglecting my poor hamsters lately.. Always forget to feed them.. :P

spring cleaning & some afterthoughts

Holiday is coming to an end.. for the time being!

This term our holiday is cut short because of SEP. One phase here and one phase there.. aih.. air tickets aren’t really worthwhile this time!

To see things positively, things are not so bad too. At least this time I don go, “I’m boredddddd~!!” as usual.. And I’ll treasure the time back home more! (This friday! This friday!)

So people! Let’s not be gloomy. This is just a temporary end to our hols.. and it’s good to be able to look forward to another 2 weeks of break after 5 days of work, isn’t it?

For today.. By God’s grace I had a good start..!

Because I had McD’s Sausage McMuffin with Eggge for breakfast! YAy~~~!!

Well, this is not taken this morning.. but this is it! Dragged myself up from bed so that I’ll be able to savor this meal.. the price paid for a good breakfast..! Anyways, McD makes ppl happy! Hey it rhymes a lil’..! They should change their “i’m loving it” slogan to “McD, McD, the hungry becomes happy”!

And because of the good start, I was so in the mood for spring cleaning today! (so that Jong & Caryn & Bguat & Priya feel like coming back more..) Washed the bathroom, mopped the floor and cleared the caterpillars on the fan (shows how long we have not cleaned it.. :P) And tidied my bedroom, esp my part of it!! And threw away things (finally =.='") I’ve been meaning to throw away..

I know I know.. Most of you’re gonna go like, “Huh?? You call this clean? You haven’t seen mine~!” But for me it’s really spick’er and span’er than before ma. (sigh.. revealing yet another dark secret of mine.. harga runtuh-lah!)

And while I was mopping the floor where we put our shoes (you know~), I was suddenly reminded of this comment given by Jong (dont know why la your name always appears in my blog.. haha ;D) that she liked it when I was the one sweeping coz I’d always clean that part.. (ya maybe you dont remember but I do!!)

Nyways, what she said has actually become my motivation to clean those few pieces of tiles after that, which ppl tend to forget or neglect. It’s not for more compliments definitely, but I do it because I come to realize that it makes ppl more comfortable and more importantly, there is somebody who appreciates it.. and it makes all the difference!

So the lesson learnt today: Appreciate ppl & things around you! And express them verbally! Sometimes a little compliment makes ppl go a long way.

Therefore, here I would like to THANK all A.4.2 girls for your hard work & effort of keeping our burrow a squeaky clean place to live in! And thank you for abiding by the few ‘commandments’ we have in this place..

Scary? I think not at all.

Perhaps a lil’ legalistic. And calculative, some ppl might say. But I personally feel that sometimes it’s necessary to set boundaries & rules before the grace in friendship comes in. It’s better this way than to have hard feelings after that because so-and-so always doesn’t sweep the floor or dump rubbish and we do not know how to confront him/her. Dont you think so?

But yea, we do allow grace.. at times. After all, that’s what friends are for rite!? ^^

Let me finish with the treasure hunt story in the midst of cleaning & packing 1st before we go to other business ya..

Well, there had always been this regret in me and it struck me even more when I came across this that day..

a door gift kinda thing for GA Youth Jesus 7 when they just started the ministry at the end of 2006

That was like.. 2 years plus ago.. We were assigned to come out with something useful which ppl would keep and at the same time served as a reminder bout our meetings. And since we were so ayam kampung at that time & didnt know wad microsoft publisher was, we actually typed out the calendar ourselves! Haha.. so silly.. that’s why the alignment ran a bit..

Anyway, back to the point, and that was, we left the Youth group after that, which seems like there’s no turning back now. I could still remember vividly the day when we told our cell leaders that we could not commit ourselves anymore. It was very emotional, so much so that sometimes when I reflected back I couldnt understand why.

Perhaps on my part there was a guilty conscience. Guilty that I have let God down. And even let my cell leaders down. It’s overwhelming to see how the Youth group has grown, the ministries they have taken up, and the bond formed among them. And when I looked at my spiritual journey, I couldnt help wondering bout the outcomes if I had pressed on and stayed..

Perhaps my spiritual path would be different today?

Perhaps I wouldn’t be spiritually fluctuating today?

And perhaps.. I wouldn’t feel so much like an old lady to the Youths who are around my age, and therefore, stick to only ppl whom I know? :(

These questions are too agonizing to answer yet unavoidable. But ah.. there’s no use crying over spilt milk. It’s time to pick myself up and give up self-condemnation.. Perhaps God has a will behind it..

Otherwise Lord, if this is part of Your calling in my life, won’t You give me a second chance?

Have been clearing & trying to pack my old books & stuff these few days.. supposed to be a tedious job but surprisingly it’s more pleasurable than I thought.

I’m traveling back in time! Discovering treasures in dust.. One of the most intriguing pile was the church bulletins I must say.. Check out the transformation of the cover page..

The first few appearance when I started joining the church in late 2005..

This was around 2nd year anniversary..

Getting more & more pictorial & colorful! I like~!

And of course the changes in bulletin signifies the transformation the church has been going through for the past 4 years, and the best part of it is yet to come! But I’m sure the process would be a fantastic journey filled with God’s spirit..

Sometimes I wish I’d get posted in KL in the future just to stay in the church.. Haha.. But this is definitely too bizarre a dream.. Or should I say, I feel that my calling & burden is not in KL/PJ.. Anyway that would be sth to consider next year.. so let’s just leave it for a while..

Louis had this brilliant idea of compiling the sermons in all these bulletins.. Make it into a scrapbook kinda thing.. but it’s gonna need a lot of WORK~!!

Jong, remember how we used to travel to Puchong together with Doreen?!

If you dont, here it is~! Gosh, look how botak my forehead was last time..! And you looked so young & innocent! (now no more! :P) This was in LRT when we’re heading to Sri Petaling..

There were some pictures that we took in ECF church but I couldnt find the soft copy.. Used to put them on my desktop remember? Haha.. Now although Doreen’s the only one traveling, and for the past 4 years & her perseverance is still sustaining! Bravo Doreen!

I flipped through my diary dated 17th July 05 (my very 1st entry!) and it read “I’ll pray that God provides a church which is good & welcomes the presence of God.. nearby”.. Well, apparently God did not because GA is still quite far away from Cheras, but He certainly did send angels to fetch us didn’t He? :)

And there was again this entry on July 28th bout how you were touched when God spoke to you through Doreen when we had our fellowship last time! I think you have no recollection of it because I dont!!! And read what I wrote about you in that entry!

“She’s a very bold and sporting girl. You may call her cute. (Cute?? What causes me to say that I really don know!!? Hahaha.. :P.. continue) When she likes something, she goes all out for it. And she loves meeting people, making friends, which will make her a good preacher because she socialises a lot...)”

Hahaha.. Okay okay.. enough of me revealing my silly scribbling.. How could I publicise my private life so much? Haha.. Maybe I can publish memoirs dy.. Good idea? ^^

hands-on

I guess I’m too free now that I could blog almost every day about the pettiest things in life..

Planned to watch movie today but plan cancelled.. So I stayed at home the whole day and got my hands busy on things which I was so tempted to do during exam but managed to fight the desire & self-excuse to not study.. Now that exam is over, these stuff doesnt look as fun.. Haha..

Our ever faithful KK Naren had it developed for all 24 of us.. With a nice glass frame and everything.. Dont really like this particular one though.. compared to the other which I have uploaded last time..  Coz most of us looked so serious & solemn in this (which is so not-us!!).. Louis looks like he’s just met his long-time enemy and is ready for a fight.. Haha..

Anyway, 2.1 rocks~! Will surely miss U.S. as a class when we’re in UM. TC peeps.

itchy lion

Itchyyyyy~!!

I seriously have no idea where and why and how those tiny red bumps appear on my body, esp on my limbs! Can anyone with expertise in Medicine tell me?

 

Do you feel itchy as well seeing them? :P

They look and feel like mosquito bites.. This morning they disappeared (I thought for good) but they came visiting again just now..

Called my mom and she said it’s a sign that I’m lacking in immune system.. Is it true? But I feel I’m quite healthy now.. plus the big appetite~!

Went to Nando’s with Doreen & Louis just now.. And I got quite a big one for 1/4 chicken! Surprisingly I still felt like eating after dinner when both of them were groaning bout too-full tummies..

Me: I felt like a lion tearing at my prey’s meat..

Doreen & Louis: *nodding vigorously*

So since I’m the lion today, there’ll be no pictures of good food but bones & leftovers.. I think the waiters & waitresses also got grossed out seeing me eating (with both hands).. Hahaha...

But i think we really ate to our money’s worth this time.. We ordered two plates of quarter ayam meal and got another 1/4 ayam for free.. And shared a glass of bottomless iced lemon tea (recession ma~!).. only 13.50 each—teramat sgt berbaloi!

By the way, this is what I did for my break today! Cleared my (4 years) college notes & papers the whole afternoon.. yAy~! *great sense of achievement*.. (that’s why I was so hungry I guess..)

I wonder how many trees we have cut...!!

And that’s not all..! These are just notes alone k.. Try counting the papers we used for assignments & quizzes & exams... I guess this would be one good reason to support e-learning! Haha.. =.='"

water raging day

People!! Water supply CLAMPED today~!! Ah, I mean A.4.2 ppl... I only noticed it this afternoon when I wanted to shower.. Turned the tap and eyy? Not even a single drop! They locked it with a white plastic cover because the maintenance fee was not settled.. Don’t know when exactly they did it coz we still used the washing machine this morning.. Anyway, it’s fixed dy.. Doreen called the owner and terpaksa-lah he dealt with it.. Doreen & I terpaksa also went to Louis’s house for shower.. And err.. let’s just say I love our washroom a thousand times better (even without the water.. hahaha)!

Terpaksa sikit.. you know the temperature here’s like high enough to boil water if you put it under the sun?? (Exaggerating sikit) But it really is WARM man! At night I turned the fan to full blast and slept without the blanket! And when I pulled a shirt out from my heap of other baju’s it felt as if you’ve just ironed it.. Gosh.. then this afternoon it suddenly poured like it did in Elijah’s time (just imagining).. We drove out and couldnt even see more than 5 metres in front of us (serious, no kidding).. And the wind was so strong that it blew off one of Farah’s car window plastic (don’t worry girl, we’ll get it fixed for you)... And to look at water churning down the drain I was suddenly reminded of the ‘water shortage’ at home.. What a paradox!

Anyway, lesson of the day:

Be grateful for even the simplest thing. Don’t take water supply for granted! =.='"

The house feels real quiet without you guys.. I came home saying ‘hello’ to 2 hamsters and Farah’s turtle.. :( And I told Doreen if the house is only occupied by the 2 of us, it’ll surely look like a rubbish dump.. :P

Tomorrow is holiday for me! Yay~! The thought of a break from the kids, gosh, how I need that.. Home Alone will still be a bliss.. ^^

hol’s here.. finally~! ^^

But why does my while-hol seems to be as busy as pre-hol? I’m deprived of on9ing~! Havent got the chance to take my sweet time through Friendster & Facebook nicely.. and FB is damn slow.. is it just my PC or wad? :(

Well.. Not complaining though.. Given the grace to fill my days & free time earning a bit of pocket $$.. So it keeps me from shouting “I’m bored~!!”.. at least not yet.. There are a lot to be done: cluttered desk to tidy.. Heaps of clothes to be sorted out & put away.. Pictures to deco.. Notes to be burnt (hehehe..) and the list goes on and on..

Got mean and bathed my hamsters just now.. Apparently they dont like it.. Got quite scared… Ran and pooed here and there.. =.='" But it was funny seeing them rubbing their face vigorously, rolling in the wood shaving and running in the wheel to get themselves dry up after that..

Oo.. By the way QQ showed mankind how we should never give up in life and instead keep trying until you reach the top~!

This boy doesnt like sleeping on the shaving.. I dont know if it’s the same with everyone else or is it just him.. Another alternative would be on the wheel..

This is an old picture.. OMG I’ve never realised how big my boy has grown..! In fact, I believe he’s in his old age dy.. (And without a partner.. poor thing..)
