今天小组分享我们正好 'Say Love'  欸! 组长问了一个问题，爱与喜欢到底有什么分别？结果大家七嘴八舌的作了一个结论...

喜欢是短暂的; 爱是长久的...

喜欢一个人是欣赏他/她的优点; 爱一个人是欣赏他/她的优点+包容他/她的缺点...

但总结来讲，爱的定义是哥林多前书13章4-8节：

Joined a writing workshop by British Council Sarah Butler ages ago and this is sth like what I've produced with her guidance.. Hadn't expected much initially because my prior knowledge of workshops had not been pleasant all this while.. but this particular one had really proven me wrong! ^^ She has the most amazing ideas of how to write creatively.. and I esp love the part where you can add concrete expressions to abstract ideas.. this isn't sth new but it's just so different from the usual schema descriptive essays that we write..

And here's another piece on emotions.. pick and emotion and write what you can hear, smell, feel, taste and so on from that emotion...

I've chosen..

FRUSTRATION!

(was really frustrated at that time.. haha..)

It sounds like... arrgghhhhhh~~!!!
It smells like smoke...
It feels like a lot of other hands grabbing at yours...
It tastes sour and bitter...
It tangles...
It is sticky and it drips on the ground making a mess...
And it falls with a loud Splat!

And ya that's all.. didnt get to finish the whole workshop due to other responsibilities.. Anyway that was a goood one! Thumbs up to British Council (finally :P)..

Just one week and there were just too much to share.

First and foremost, let's not forget the TGIF review which I have 'promised'.. haha.. (as if anyone's craning their neck waiting for it)...

well, a review, a so-called one as well, wont be complete without pictures, will it? :)

Louis's appetizer.. boneless chicken wings.. VERY much recommended...! but the sauce is weird.. hahah.. it was bitter on your tongue towards the end..

this is mine.. I dont remember what it's called.. big mac & cheese or sth similar.. it's macaroni and cheese inside.. yumm~

like.. this? haha.. lousy 4.0 mp camera.. i don know why most of the un-flashed pictures are not sharp.. Anyway.. The one thing about TGIF is, I'd say, the originality... they don taste Ajinomoto'ish... but as usual, too much of cheese and spaghetti do make ppl puke in the end.. this was leftovers after we became bloated with the main course..

oooh.. but before that.. the menu is different from normal days.. for Valentine's it's all set meals starting from 65++ to 85++.. including appetizer and desserts.. Louis said it's more worthwhile cuz the last time he went with Peter everything was priced separately.. but in actual fact.. eating the main course alone was so much MORE than enough.. you can actually order a set and share with someone else... ^^ (if u do not have an ENORMOUS tummy.. nyahahaa...)

the main course i ordered.. salmon pasta.. cheesy to the max! the salmon chunks were very fe-reshhh tooo!! I don like fish much.. but this one is definitely inviting.. :D

Louis's main course.. veggie & prawns & chicken & mashed potatoes (very ori) and chicken.. with some Jack Daniel's sauce.. the sauce was.. okay-lah dear... not as superb as you've described.. hahaa.. I must have set too high an expectation on it.. i think he has written bout it in his latest post.. i guess he ordered the same thing again..

**burrrppp** dinner was just too filling that it became a torture.. haha.. took a needed break from eating (and even from looking at the food!) for some chit-chat.. reflection sessions... (ha-ha) observation of surroundings.. **do I look like I'm dating two men? louis & siuol..**

I just love the atmosphere! The lights reminded me of Beauty and the Beast and I don know why!! ahahaha.. no other indication.. and the deco were very old-fashioned.. like those comfortable bistro that you see in tv.. and I like the fact that you don need to dress formally and eat in silence with more than ten spoons and forks and knife to choose from and not knowing which you should use first.. haha.. The place were packed with couples and family that day.. so it made the whole place kinda noisy yet friendly..

and finally the desserts.. wanted to call for tapao dy but this would melt! so ya.. okay.. stuff this mocha mud pie into the leftover space in the tummy.. it's like ice-cream cake.. only better! but i wouldnt recommend this to diabetic patient... really.. and this was the last and only thing that we could shove into our mouth.. and ya that's it.. the once-in-a-blue-moon luxury in life.. i've never had such an expensive dinner in my life before.. serious.. 20++ for tax alone.. haha.. but we received a complimentary latin dance class for a week which was said to worth RM300.. since Louis said he might break his bones if we joined this.. we decided to give it away!

Anyone wants? The expiry date is 15 March if not mistaken.

Thought of lepak'ing in KL area for a while.. mana tau stuck in traffic jam and only reached home after 1 hr.. arrghh.. and we were drained of all energy... but it's nice to see KL still restless & colorful near midnight.. there was a concert or sth in sg wang.. and near Lot 10 it was just packed with ppl! and we noticed quite some diligent businessmen & women by the roadside selling the last batch of roses.. ah.. well.. if you want to know.. I didnt get any.. T.T haha.. jk.. it IS a joke dear..!

Thanks Farah for the car!! it had definitely made our trip easier!! God's the greatest Provider!! we stopped by at our 'annual' Valentine's spot -- the BT1 playground!!! (howww romanticc @.@) hahah.. it's like a tradition.. anyway guess wad.. it's gift exchanging session!!

I love what I get!! ^^ I've been saying that i want to buy a necklace with a cross pendant since dont-know-when.. thank you so much dear!! :D I just hope you like what you got too... although the price of both is like heaven and earth.. (will make it up to you i promise..:"P )

my definition of an educator

An educator/lecturer/teacher is someone who...



... does not jump to conclusion/generalisation when he/she just sees the tip of the iceberg.



... is patriotic and encourages his/her students to be patriotic as well instead of putting down our own country or local institutes.



... shows good example in speech and despise foul language (and using it is way out of personal principle).



... has high level of education and yet does not boast about it (other alternative: boast about it but dont reveal your weaknesses!!).



... respect the students as individuals so as to be respected.

Happy 2 years old! that's 730 days! hahaa.. *lame*

Ah nvm.. I don know how it's gonna be tonight... ah.. whatever... now everyone's saving coz of economy crisis.. so less expectation = less disappointment, right? haha.. but i suppose my next entry would be on TGIF food review.. ^^ that is, if no change of plans..

so let me do food reviews of other places 1st.. (if you can actually call this a review :P)

kindori (spelt this way I think x.x) cempedak ice cream (ah, i mean jackfruit)

Suaku a bit.. have seen this shop in Times Square for some time but have never tried it before.. cuz it looks expensive.. well, it IS expensive! 6.90 for the ice-cream + another RM 1 for the cone.. but yah it's worth the money spent cuz at least it is sth different from ordinary ice-cream.. they do not have ice-cream boxes, just containers of cut-up fruits (quite a variety) and they make the ice-cream by blending the fruits and add fresh milk.. so you can actually taste tiny pieces of fresh fruits... nice~!! and another thing is that, it's not too sweet.. just nice if you're health conscious and wanna help Malaysia cut down the rate of diabetes..!

Caryn and me looked like 2 misers sharing an ice-cream but ah.. who cares.. 'sharing is caryng'... :P and it's just for the experience of it.. some luxury in life.. hahaha.. and now I realise that my focus was wrong when I took the picture.. the background seems sharper than the ice-cream itself.. ah.. lousy skill..

This was just morning snacks.. for lunch we went to Wendy's.. newly-opened.. actually have tried it before several times in Jaya 1, PJ. The best thing about Wendy's is that.. I dont feel cheated of my $$ like how I do in McD's... their beef patties are square and BIG!

yah well it doesnt show much here.. nvm~ The Chili is nice.. but let me recommend the baked potatoes..! Chili cheese and Cheese & cheese are superb!

Not being miserly this time but having learnt from past experience, Caryn and I just ordered a set and shared (again.. to show that we care for each other x.X) and we were bloated (as expected)..

The next makan place we went to was A.4.2... the cooks there are all pretty maidens with lovely smiles.. ahaks.. ^~^

Healthy Greenies with fried garlic, Less-oil chicken patties and Eggs with salted carrots (I... think)

Hahaha.. just kidding.. they definitely do not look as inviting as outside food.. but they are very healthy okay!!? *defensive* Nothing beats home-cooked meals! And ar.. this was taken quite some time ago.. so now our culinary skills have improved a lot actually, havent we? Right Peter? Ah well he wont read this.. but we have improved right gurls??

So ya.. that's it.. too bad if it's disappointing.. I havent got the chance to go to those special expensive places.. yet.. you just wait for another 2 years until I start working then.. haha..

gray friday

how frustrating could it be when your laptop used 8 mins to start up and the day itself is frustrating enough?

lookED forward to today.. after a long hard week, going back and forth LRT station, facing loads of assignments enough to flatten you, lecturer's reprimand for not doing tutorial tasks... i really wanted to shout TGIF!

but what if things turned out the other way round..?

...when i wasnt dressed appropriately to usher and ended up troubling my team leader (made me guilty enough and I hadnt got the chance to thank her!)

...when a friend asked me if he was my lil bro (which wasnt so bad but enough to make me conscious again)

...when i dont understand why you must walk ahead of me!!?? does it make you feel more manly? if so, too bad i felt abandoned, even if it's just a step ahead!

...when we couldnt get a cab home and got scolded unreasonably when i called for public cab service (and the lady was nice to him instead... gender bias)

...when we hadnt seen my cell leaders for some time and the atmosphere was quite heavy with awkwardness.. so supper didnt taste as good...

...when you walk ahead of me again and I just don know what to say! T.T

...when i come home to a stony face and icy cold shoulder-brush (what have I done this time??)

thank God it's the end of Friday.

i'm beginning to see some changes dy..

Week 5.. which means cny's over.. no more term break until May... assignments and quizzes continue (In fact, I just handed in an essay and sat for a test today)... and (hopefully God has a will behind everything) more responsibilities to shoulder...

Not gonna complain.. I WILL get used to all this workload!!

I hoped and wrote about changes.. and seems to me God really listens to prayers... verbal or non-verbal..

Firstly.. It seems that I'll be promoted to become an aunt this September!!! My sister's carrying my 6-week niece/nephew! Hahahaha (gleefully)...!!! Yah well it's accidental but legal.. if you're like, "So.... fast??"... but in such cases I believe that what is accidental for men is never accidental for God.. It will be exactly the time when God wants him/her to be born.. and true enough the birth will be at the right timing too! Coz my mom'll retire in August, just in time to hold her grandchild all day long!!

Secondly.. Hopefully with much will and determination, I will be able to save up an amount by the end of this year.. God has provided a way.. which has a price to pay (hey, it rhymes!), of course.. a BIG one at that.. gonna sacrifice a lot of napping hours and manage my time effectively!! I just pray that behind gaining valuable experiences and extras in pocket, He provides a channel to more salvation..

Thirdly, fourthly, and the following to come.. I'm still waiting..
